An Open Letter To My "Squad"

To my squad:

I'll apologize in advance for being cheesy but i just wanted to let you know-- you guys are the absolute best friends to have. Whenever we are together, it's nothing but laughs and memories made. Without you guys, life would be boring as hell.

We may have only became close recently, but it feels like we have been close for years. We are each a compliment of each other. Because of that, we balance each other perfectly. You guys have made college so much more worth it. I love that I always have people to go to when I need someone and someone is always there to help. I love that we are not only friends as a group, but outside of our group and individually friends. It makes each friendship of out whole that much stronger and more unique.

There's is no better group of friends that I would rather have to quote SpongeBob with. Every time we are together we cook and bake so much delicious food! I love having heart to hearts with you guys. I appreciate that we can go from acting like grandmas to acting like 8 year olds. Farting, burping, pooping, and looking like gross, greasy, smelly, garbage sacks is totally acceptable, too. We have survived true camping in literally the middle of a forest, and we will take our first major trip together in the summer. Those memores will be the best yet, and there is no one better to share those times with than you guys.

You guys bring out the best in myself and in each other. You make quirky days quirkier and brighter days the brightest of them all. I'm so grateful for the adventures we have, big and small, and I'm excited for all of the adventures that await us in the future, as a group and in our own separate lives. Just know that whatever may happen, and wherever we may be, I will always be here for you guys and know that our friendship is one I will carry with me for the rest of my life. No man, fight, or anything could tear us apart. Ever.

Thank you for our creation of the squad, and thank you guys for each being your own genuine selves. I'm thankful for your acceptance of each of us. I'm so excited to see where our friendship is in a year, five years, 10 years, and hopefully 50 years. Just remember,I love you guys.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
