My Letter to Spring

Spring is coming and with it brings joy

My Letter to Spring

The sun hits your face as a breeze blows by sending cherry blossom petals around like snowflakes. The air smells sweet and inviting. Things are coming to life around you. Flowers are popping up in the beds around you, birds flying and singing around.

Spring is a time when people are happier and around more. They are friendlier and more willing to go on adventures. Coffee dates, off roading, late night hammocking, bonfires, and mornings watching the sunrises with friends make spring so beautiful. Spring is the beginning of something so beautiful. Spring lets you know that summer is coming.

With spring brings trips to the river, hikes around the woods, bike rides, trips to the pool, and iced tea. Spring just brings so many more possibilities than winter. Winter is where things go to die because it is too cold to move or do anything. You run from building to building as quickly as possible because you might die from the frost that is chasing you in your pursuit of warmth.

The sun is warm and it just makes you happy, classes become harder, but the fun and excitement grows. Studying outside becomes more and more frequent. Procrastination is real and basically becomes your full time job.

Pictures become a daily occurrence and the search for the perfect photo becomes an adventure.

Spring is a time of year with new and fresh beginnings. Spring brings love into the air and romance blossoms all around. Couples seem to fall out of the woodwork. People walk around holding hands that you didn’t even know knew each other.

Some of my favorite memories are from the spring. It is perfect. Not too hot, not too cold. If there is one thing that I love about spring it is the start of baseball season. I love hitting baseballs around with my friends on the weekends. It is a great form of exercise as well as social activity. Baseball gets you outside in the wonderful sun and moving around getting that cardio.

Spring makes me feel inspired, more willing to get things done. Spring allows me to get creative and excited. Spring makes me feel like I live in a fairytale. A magic place where dreams come true, a place of love and talking animals. Spring encourages me that the world is not a dark cold, scary place. There is beauty and happiness all around.

The promise of spring is right around the corner. I can feel it. Bring on the picnics and hang outs in the park. Bring on the afternoons of feeding ducks and exploring. Bring on the spontaneous road trips and adventures to find that perfect shot. Bring on the days of basking in the sun and wondering how you ever lived without it before. Bring on the bike rides and creativity. Bring on the joy.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
