My Letter To God Inspired By Jessie James Decker

I am such a huge fan of Jessie James Decker. For those of you who don't know who she is, I suggest looking her up. She is a country singer with an amazing voice and is married to Tennessee Titans wide receiver, Eric Decker.

I stumbled across a video on Youtube earlier today of Jessie James Decker talking to her fans while at a concert. And she was talking about finding her soulmate. She told her fans about how she wrote a very detailed letter to God. And in that letter she told God everything she wanted in her future husband. And a few years later, God sent Jessie James Decker her soulmate, Eric. And God had gotten everything right. Every little detail that she included in her letter to God was delivered to her through Eric.

So after watching that video I decided why not write a letter to God as well asking him to help me find my soulmate. I may be young still but God doesn't have to send him right now. It will take quite some time for God to really help me find the man I'm looking for.

Jessie James Decker also said that she was only 20 years old when she wrote this letter. And even though she was so young, it didn't matter because everyone searches for a soulmate that they can spend forever with and no matter how young you are, you still want to find that special someone. So I'll start my own letter to God. And I know that if he can find a forever for Jessie James Decker, he can find my forever too.

Dear God,

I know you will send my person for me when the time is right but since I am willing to wait and be so patient, I thought I'd help you out a little bit for when you do find the perfect man for me.

I'd like for him to be super tall with the most perfect smile. Those are two things I have always wanted in a guy. I'd also like a man that knows how to make me laugh. No matter how bad my day was, I will always need someone there to make me smile and remember why I waited so long for them to show up in my life.

They need to be athletic and competitive. Someone I can take to Dave and Busters with me and play all those arcade games with because we want to see who's really better in an arcade. And since they're athletic and competitive, they have to be a huge fan of sports. I want to be able to have family and friends over every year for the Super Bowl and Stanley Cup games.

They must be truthful. I want to be able to believe them when they look into my eyes and tell me something. With no trust, there is no relationship. And that is something you have taught me, God. I have always trusted you and your judgement.

I would like for him to have blue eyes. Not because looks are everything or because I'm being picky but because blue eyes are the most beautiful to me and I know the man behind those eyes will be just as beautiful if he's sent from you.

He needs to come from a good family. If you've taught me anything it's to love my family as hard as I can because I'll never know when you will need them up in Heaven. Family is everything to me and family needs to be everything to him as well.

I can go on and on, God. And as a matter of fact I will. But for now I will take a break because I know it takes a lifetime to realize what I really want in my future soulmate.

I am here. I believe in you. I trust you. And I am forever thankful for everything you've given me in this life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
