My Sister's Never A 'Third Wheel' In My Relationship, She's A Co-Driver

My two favorite people in the world, and all of us are best friends.

From day one, my twin has always been my go-to for anything. She has always been my best friend. The one I can confide in about life — about boys.

Now, a boy has entered my life and stolen my heart. But that doesn't mean I have replaced my best friend.

I would never ditch one of them for the other. I need both of them in my life. They are both too important to me and I want to share memories with both of them. It's so much easier for us all to be friends.

There is no third-wheeling in this friendship. If anything my boyfriend will third-wheel my sister and I. We were inseparable from birth, a boy won't separate us now. There is never any tensions between us or any awkward moments. We can all laugh and share stories like a group of friends, not like my boyfriend and I then my sister tagged along. It is never like that. We all love each other's company and have so much fun doing anything together. Dinners together are always a joy to see my two favorite people chatting over some delicious sushi.

All of us go to separate colleges 9 hours away from each other. However, we make the most of our long-distance friendship. We do three-way phone calls and just chat on our way to class. We talk to my sister and her friends, maybe a boy. Despite the distance, we all remain close friends no matter what. I love that I am able to share a beautiful friendship between my boyfriend and me, and my sister and me, with them. It makes life so much more fun. We cook in the kitchen together. We go to movies together. I could walk out of the room and know that there won't be any awkward tension between them. I'll most likely walk into the room to them giggling about something.

I am able to have my separate time with each of them when needed. I can divide my time to be with both of them. We all need our alone time, and thankfully they are both so understanding. I can have my time with my sweet boyfriend without feeling guilty that I am not with my sister. I can have a girls night with my sister and not feel guilty that I have abandoned my boyfriend. I can turn to my sister for relationship advice and I can turn to my boyfriend when I need to rant about family. It all works out. The perfect blend.

This friendship makes me so much more grateful for these incredible people in my life. It makes me hopeful for what is to come in the future. I will always have one of them by my side, or better yet — both.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
