A new season is dawning so that means new music and other jams to get you cozy, in the zone while staying inside as it gets cooler, or excited for football games and other various fall activities/events. These are my top 25 picks ranging from hip-hop to rock:
I have organized the songs like this:
• current ❗
• past hits <
• featured *
1. "Star boy"- The Weeknd ft.Daft Punk❗
If the fact that Weeknd is on this track doesn’t pull you in alone, the beat will. I discovered this song earlier this week, and I’ve probably listened to it every day this week on repeat!
2. "Sucker For Pain" - ❗
By Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, X Ambassadors, Logic, Ty Dolla $ign. There’s a good chance if you saw the movie, “Suicide Squad," you heard this major collaboration. It’s a nice chill song to play while driving or getting ready to go out!
3. "Bacon"- Nick Jonas ft. Ty dolla $ign❗
The song is titled Bacon and it’s a new single by a former member of the boy band, “The Jonas Brothers”….need I say more?
4. Ariana Grande's "Dangerous Woman" Album❗
"Dangerous Woman"
"Into You"
"Side to side" ft. Nicki Minaj
…so, technically this would make my list longer than 25 songs, but all of these are pretty recent and too good to not have on here. Each of them has a sassy-fun kind of vibe to it and perfect for riding around in the car with your girls or turning it on and having your own solo kind of karaoke.

5. "Say it" - Tove Lo and Flume*
You probably heard FLUME’s song, “never be like you” this summer
and of course I’m sure Tove Lo is easily recognizable. The two teamed up
together for this awesome track that has a smooth-sultry chill kind of vibe. I
like listening to this song when I’m painting or in the bath. It’s one of those
songs.
6. "Closer" - Halsey and The Chainsmokers❗
Catchy? Check. EDM vibes? Check. The live performance of this was so
adorable on the VMA’s this year!
7. "Set it Off" - Lil Boosie <
If you’re from Louisiana, whether you like rap music or not, Boosie is
a staple in the ultimate “turn up” setting. You’ll most likely hear this song
played at most of the local bars/clubs around here or college-aged parties. For
most, it’s a fan favorite that ages 17-30+ know every lyric to.
8. "Gold" - Kiiara❗
Honestly, I thought this song was annoying at first, but it grew on me. It has a killer beat to it and could be classified as a #chill song.
9. "Gangsta"- Skylar Grey and Kehlani*
Also from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, the compromise of the indie-slow feel and the rap bit makes for a crowd-pleaser.
10. "For free" - Drake and Dj Kahled❗
While I don’t really resonate with the lyrics, it’s got an awesome melody to it. Plus, it’s DRAKE. End of story.
11. "Control"- Halsey*
You remember that song, “Closer” I referenced on here? Halsey is the girl singing the middle towards the end vocals. I first came across Halsey last year and slowly she grew on me the more songs I heard by her. She has what I would describe as a pop-alternative sound. This song is one of my personal favorites because it tells a story.
12. "How She Rolls" - Chase Rice*
Although I labeled this as a featured song, it’s truthfully an older tune. Chase Rice unfortunately hasn’t made his mark yet and is still trying to generate hype. I love this song because it’s about a girl who loves to have a good time and can get down and hang with the boys – it reminds me of being at our camp and I’m there impressing the other members with my infatuation for Crown Royal Whiskey (which is mentioned in the song, by the way).

13. "Rock on" - Tucker Beathard❗
This new catchy country crooner could be easily described as a mix of Frankie Ballard and the lead singer of Train. It’s a ballad about those mixed emotions you feel after a breakup. I like how the “rock on” message kinda serves as another way of saying, “just keep doing your thing."
14. " Trumpets" - Jason Derulo <
While it may be a past hit, it puts me in such a good mood every time I hear it. Plus, there’s a section of the song where Jason Derulo starts singing acapella and it really adds to the number.
15. "Huntin' Fishin' And Lovin' Every Day" - Luke Bryan ❗
It’s fall, so naturally “hunting season” comes to a lot of our minds. This is a great sample of the beauty of country life and enjoying your life and making the most of it!
16. "H.O.L.Y." - Florida Georgia Line ❗
All I have to say about this country track is when you play this song really listen to the lyrics – it’s quite the beautiful “devotion” to the one who’s your rock.
17. "Drunk On Your Love" - Brett Eldredge <
This is very similar to the previous track in that love/affection for someone can be addictive and have endorphin-inducing effects on you. Also, Brett’s voice is AMAZING. He sounds exactly the same as he does in his Snapchat stories of him singing.
18. "Wild For The night" - A$AP Rocky <
Another good song I recommend for when you’re trying to feel lit before heading out to a party or other various social event. It’s about letting loose and, well, going wild for the night.
19. "Sorry" - Justin Bieber <
Yes, it’s Justin Bieber, and yes, the song is still a banger to me. It’s one of the few songs non-Bieber fans will even get down to.
20. "22" - Taylor Swift <
Another older jam. I’ll be 22 in two months and have many friends turning 22 this year so I’ve been coming back to this fun Taylor Swift piece a lot recently. It’s so cheery and I think that’s why most of us enjoyed it in the first place.

Yeah, yeah. It’s a song our parents mostly rock out to, but the melody is really pretty and puts you in a calm, peaceful mood.
22. "Welcome to the jungle" - Guns N Roses <
FALL MEANS FOOTBALL! Nothing says football like a classic hair band. So much hype in one song.

Also, an older slow rock jam. This is perfect to listen to while you’re sitting on your back porch enjoying a beer or driving on a long road trip. I was raised on the Eagles; if you’ve perhaps been living under a rock, please go Youtube the Eagles now – they have plenty of other top-notch songs if “Hotel California” doesn’t do it for you.
24. "Wild Things" -Alessia Cara*
“Here” was her first well-known single, and this one
is a comparable song. Three fun facts: She’s only twenty years old. She’s
signed under Drake’s label. She opened for Coldplay. COLDPLAY!
25. "Closing Time"- Semisonic <
This 90’s hit is a nice chill jam and I
like listening to it at work or when I'm doing stuff in my studio.
Please feel free to comment to me what you can’t stop listening to recently! As
you can infer, I have a wide range of music tastes so I’d love to hear your recommendations!
Here’s to hoping you have an extraordinary Fall filled with equally as awesome
music.
