Sometimes, you find yourself in a certain mood where all music seems wrong. When you're sad, you're really not trying to listen to trap rap, as much as you enjoy it on a normal occasion. There's music to fit your every mood, and sometimes when you're in the mood, that's all you want to listen to, but you're not sure what exactly it is. Here is a list to compile certain moods that you're feeling and need to feel through music, too.

1. When you're falling in love or enjoying the summer nights, country music is a great go-to. You can pick between slow country songs or pop country, but either way, it's a great fit.

Some suggestions I have for when you're falling in love are "Wanted" by Hunter Hayes, "Heaven" by Kane Brown, "Beautiful Crazy" by Luke Combs, and "Crash My Party" by Luke Bryan. When it comes to enjoying the summer nights, "Summer Nights" by Rascal Flatts, "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock, and "Summertime" by Kenny Chesney are perfect fits.

2. When you're in the mood to scream lyrics at the top of your lungs, alternative and rock music are a great pick. The chorus almost always gets you amped enough to be yelling the lyrics.

Some suggestions are "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers, "Sugar We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy, "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! At The Disco, "When I Come Around" by Green Day, and "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer.

3. When you're feeling down and out or just chill, indie or folk music is the way to go. Typically the songs are softer, calmer, and more relaxed, so when artists decide to add touching music to the mix, it's a great combination.

Some suggestions are "Crazy For You" by Adele, "Leave Your Lover" by Sam Smith, "Steady" by Hey Ocean!, "Daughters" by John Mayer, "8 (circle)" by Bon Iver, "Cherry Wine" by Hozier, and "Re: Stacks" by Bon Iver.

4. When you're feeling like praising, worship music is an obvious choice. Even if you aren't religious, some of the songs are so touching and beautiful you would like them regardless.

Some suggestions are "How He Loves" by David Crowder Band, "Reckless Love" by Cory Asbury, "Good Good Father" by Chris Tomlin, and "Ever Be" by Aaron Shust.

5. When you're feeling yourself, rap or hip-hop is perfect. When you feel bad and boujee, rapping an entire verse perfectly can up your confidence in ways no other music can. It's unmatched.

Some suggestions are "Only" by Nicki Minaj, "Broccoli" by DRAM, "No Role Modelz" by J. Cole, "Flawless" by Beyonce, "Bottoms Up" by Trey Songz, and "X" by 21 Savage.

6. When you're going through a breakup, but you're trying to stay positive, listen to pop music. Oftentimes, the lyrics and music together are focused so that you feel empowered.

Some suggestions are any Halsey or new Taylor Swift song.

7. When you're feeling reminiscent, listen to those 2000's hits. Throw it back for a little bit and remember some of the good times.

Some suggestions are "The Sweet Escape" by Gwen Stefani, "Forever" by Chris Brown, "Crazy in Love" by Beyonce, "Bartender" by T-Pain, and "Good Life" by Kayne West.

8. When you're feeling a little sexy, R&B usually does the trick.

Some suggestions are "It Won't Stop" by Sevvyn Streeter, "Sure Thing" by Miguel, "Redbone" by Childish Gambino, "Boyfriend #2" by Pleasure P, and "Kisses Down Low" by Kelly Rowland.

9. When you want to jump up and down, choose some techno or electronic dance music.

Some suggestions are "Where Are U Now" by Justin Bieber, "Titanium" by David Guetta, and anything by Zedd, Avicii, and Daft Punk.

10. When you feel like just chilling and vibing, play some stuff like Khalid or Frank Ocean.

Some suggestions are "Thinkin Bout You" by Frank Ocean, "Saved" by Khalid, "Molly" by Lil Dicky, and "Mr. Rager" by Kid Cudi.

Of course, there are a ton of different moods that you could be feeling, and there's a ton of music not listed here. However, there will always be music to match your mood, which is why many people find music to be so powerful. A song can speak to exactly how you've been feeling, so let it. Find your music and make some playlists. No shame in that.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
