Muppets Or Your Sorority Members?

You love them to death, but every girl has a personality trait- and sometimes those traits make them muppets.

In every chapter, there are different types of girls. You can find articles about the different types of girls anywhere online and they are usually pretty funny and actually accurate. So I thought I would try my hand at sorority stereotyping. This time, you get the pleasure of knowing your sisters- as Muppets.

If you're not familiar with the puppets that took the world by storm in the late 1960s, they take form as different animals, people and even imaginary characters and they all have different personalities. And your sorority sisters are just like them.

1. The new member that's excited about everything: Fozzie Bear

This girl may not know everything yet and sometimes slips up- but she cares about every single facet of your chapter and you love her for it.

2. The girls who joined just to party: Animal

Albeit sometimes hard to deal with, she's the girl you always want around because she will always make you smile and laugh.

3. The President: Kermit

The face of your chapter and the busiest girl in your chapter. She does everything to keep the chapter afloat even though it always seems to be going crazy. She's ultimately got it under control.

4. The girl who just became a big: Miss Piggy

She just LOOOOOOOOVES her little and nothing else matters.

5. The girls who joined a sorority for the connections- and makes sure you know it: Dr. Bunsen Honeydew

Strategic and determined defines this girl, but she is also loyal to her friends and your sorority even though she claims shes only there for one reason.

6. The girl who always seems to be starting a new job or studying abroad: Gonzo

This girl is goals. She is always so busy but you can't help but want to be in her shoes whether its sky diving in another country or starting her first career.

7. Your ritual chair: Sam The Eagle

The girl you love to hate because it seems like she wants to make everything strict but in reality she just really loves your sorority.

8. The girl who always wants to complain, but doesn't participate: Pepe the King Prawn

She likes to think she knows it all- how much it takes to be a good member but she really only likes to complain about events, but at the end of the day she is kind hearted and really loves everyone and does the right thing (aka goes to meeting)

9. The girl who always volunteers: Scooter

This member often gets over-looked, but she keeps the organization together. She may not get the credit all the time but she cares so much that she'll keep doing her thing and making everyone else look good.

10. The seniors: Statler and Waldorf

They heckle and laugh at meeting and events- but only because they've done it a million times. They know everything about everyone and they love it with all their hearts, as much as they are ready to leave, they want to stay for one more show.

The girls in every chapter contribute to a dynamic of loving and supportive sisters- even if they sometimes do remind you of a puppet.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
