Muhammad Ali, one of the most well-known names in history, was an American professional boxer who is widely recognized as one of the greatest sporting figures of all time. Ali recently died on June 3rd, 2016 at the age of 74, leaving the world shook.

This great boxer wasn't just an athlete, though. He was also a hero on many instances and someone who is widely adored by the general public. Ali is known for his sincerity and kindness to all, one of his greatest quotes regarding racism is as follows:

Following Ali's death, many stories and past newspaper clippings have been released as a means of remembrance, one being when Ali saved a suicidal man in 1981. Watch the archived video from Chicago Tribune here.

Muhammad Ali was known as a hero to everyone, but especially to the Muslim community. He was known as the voice of change because he left a positive impact on the world through his admirable character and his never-giving-up philosophy. After many acts of sincerity and respect, those who don't even watch boxing {like myself} had become fans of the great boxer.

Ali's star is the only one on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk Of Fame that is not on the ground. Many believe this is because 'no one steps all over Muhammad Ali,' but in reality, Ali had requested his star to be up on the wall because his name was after a prophet in Islam and he felt it disrespectful for people to walk all over it.

Overall, Ali has enlightened the public to always push yourself and never give up, as he did in his last moments. Ali's daughter, Hana Ali, posted that Ali's organs had given out earlier, yet his heart was still beating 30 minutes after everything had shut down.

Muhammad Ali's family had requested that those who would like "To express your condolences, share your stories, or give a donation for Muhammad Ali’s legacy please visit alicenter.org".

Rest in Power, fighter.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
