People Can Change But The Past Doesn’t

We can forgive but we don't forget

People Can Change But The Past Doesn’t

Please tell me,

How many times are you going to cry again because you're reminded by the hurt?

How many times are you going to allow the anxiety to stir inside you because you can't trust they really changed?

How many times are you going to be mad at yourself because you feel like history is repeating itself, and you are allowing it?

How many times are you going to stay up at night because you can't stop replaying all the bad moments?

How many times is enough to realize you need to move on?

You can do it you know, but I won't sugarcoat it for you; it's going to be hard. You're going to want to see the good in someone you care about. It's just human nature to want so badly to believe them when they say "I've changed".

But so have you.

You've become so much stronger, and wiser throughout everything. You're not the same person that let them put you down and make you feel so bad.

You've grown

Maybe they have too, but letting them back into your life comes with a price. The price of all those memories. All the times when you started to realize the good couldn't outweigh the bad.

Everyone wants to be able to give that second chance but is it really worth it when you know nothing is really going to change. Maybe for a month or two, you'll think you made the right choice, however, time always has a way of revealing how someone really is.

So stop letting people influence who you really are.

Move on, let the past be the past, forgive them but never forget.

If you have been following me for a long time, then you know I write about two main things: relateable articles and communication media based articles. Now, it is time for me to combine the two. For those of you that don't know, I am a radio DJ at IUP, and I DJ for a show called BPM (Beats Per Minute). It is an EDM, or electronic dance music, based show and I absolutely love it.

6 Things Owning A Cat Has Taught Me

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
