If there's anything our generation loves, it's reminiscing about our childhoods. Tattoo chokers, denim skirts and Limited Too are all coming back into our lives and we couldn't be more grateful, yet we still have one accessory missing that's truly the icing on the cake: our Razr phones. These bad boys were the ultimate symbol of coolness growing up and everybody who was anybody wanted to get their hands on one. They came in tons of colors, could dramatically be flipped closed, and had cameras (which was a big deal back then).
If you've been missing your Razr and are done with being Team iPhone, you might be in luck. Motorola recently released a teaser video insinuating that they're bringing this iconic symbol of communication back.
The Boys Like Girls song, popcorn shirt, rhinestoned phone case and dog tag necklaces in this teaser video honestly brought small, happy tears to my eyes. This video takes us back to simpler days when our biggest worry in the world was which color Razr phone to ask Santa for on Christmas.
We'll find out for sure whether this teaser really is a hint at the Razr's return on June 9. I'm interested to see whether it will take off again in the modern age of smart phones, but I believe it could do well if they transform it into a serious competitor with today's smart phones. I've missed flipping my phone closed after a phone argument, so I would definitely consider switching to the Razr again. As long as it doesn't come with the over done eyeliner and gaucho pants I wore back when I had one, I'm down to take a blast to the past and give the Razr another try.
