This week will probably be mostly articles for mother's day, and mine will be no different. I love my mom so much; she is my best friend and my hero. I don't know what I would do without her. While thinking about my article for the week, I realized that we should appreciate our moms everyday, and not only once a year. Sometimes we forget to thank that special person in our lives, whether it is our mom, grandma, aunt, or any female role model in your life. Here are 5 reasons why every day should be Mother's Day.
1. She always puts our needs first.
She always drops everything she is doing to answer our calls, pick us up from places, take us to appointments, and she even makes our favorite food when we come home from school. My mom is the most amazing person. She is always buying me things, or giving me clothes to wear; she would do anything just to see a smile on my face.
2. She is our biggest fan.
My mom is always the first person to tell me how proud of me she is .She always brags about me to her friends. She tells me all the time that I can do anything that I want to, and when I feel like I can't do something, she will give me tough love and push me to do the impossible. She always supports my ideas no matter how crazy, and she won't judge me if fail at something.
3. We wouldn't be here without her.
This one is a big one because let's face it: if she didn't have us then we wouldn't be here, and she of course likes to remind us of this, when she can. If you never thank your mom for anything, at least thank her for bringing you into this world, because we know the world wouldn't be the same without us in it. We are here for a reason, and that is to make a difference, and our mom knows it.
4. She loves us unconditionally.
No matter what we do, we always know we can count on our mom's unconditional love. We have all made the stupidest mistakes. And whenever you feel like it is the end of the world, just call your mom, text her, or look over at her, and you will see that it is not the end of the world. I know I can always go to my mom for anything: from advice, to a shoulder to cry on, a good laugh, or complete honesty.
5. It is important for us to show our appreciation all year long.
There may be this one-day that is meant to celebrate our moms, but they don't only spend one day a year to celebrate us. Our moms spend 365 days a year loving, appreciating, and doing for us, and we should do the exact same for them. It might seem tough to be a kid or young adult, but most of us have it easy compared to our parents. Our moms love us all the time, and so let's start appreciating and doting on them for once, all year round.
