Everybody knows that Mondays are a terrible thing in life, no matter what. It seems like the worst things always happen on Mondays and it's the day we all dread most of all. Some people may think it's ridiculous to hate a day of the week, but I think it is entirely plausible. So I am going to give you a short list of why I hate Mondays
1. It's the day after the weekend.
Mondays are the day after the weekend and if you're anything like me that means you either worked until 10 at night or you stayed up late watching Gilmore Girls. Now this wouldn't really be a problem, except for the fact that instead of getting organized for tomorrow, I spend the late nights of Sunday relaxing instead of preparing for Monday. I mean the stress of even thinking about Monday makes you want to binge watch another episode on Netflix.
2. You forget about the stuff you are supposed to do on Monday.
I usually try to go into my weekend not having a lot of stuff due, because most weekends I try to work a lot of hours which means not a lot of time for studying. So most of the time, I think I have everything done until I arrive at school and suddenly all of the stuff I forgot over the weekend becomes crystal clear in my mind. So then I get to spend most of the day planning things so that all my stuff is turned in when it is supposed to and I promise myself I'll be more organized next weekend.
3. Monday tests are the worst.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that every college student agrees with me here: Monday tests were probably the worst invention for college kids. In your mind, it sounds fantastic because you are supposed to have two days to study for the information instead of one, but instead of actually studying you find reasons to do anything, but study. Slowly the stress of the test begins to gnaw at you and you want to just take it and get it over with because if you see the study guide one more time you'll cry. So tests any day of the week are pretty awful, but I would have to say I hate Monday tests the most.
4. Everybody is done with you complaining about how terrible Monday is.
Monday may be the worst day of the week, but that doesn't mean you have to bring it up every 10 minutes. Obviously, I'm complaining by making this list, but if you would spend this much talking about how much you dislike Mondays I'm pretty sure your coworkers would want to kill you. So next time you're having a terrible Monday, just know we are all with you, but you can't always blame it on Mondays or every Monday say "I hate Monday", even though we are all saying it in our heads.
