Monday is just a word, after all. Each day you have new opportunities, but something about Mondays just makes people feel worn out. It's the start of the week, and we don't know what may lie ahead. However, your mindset can change the way you feel about the upcoming week. The more we repeat things to ourselves, the more we believe it. Here are some mantras to start your week off right and pull you out of the Monday slump.

This C.S. Lewis quote reminds us that we need to face the week with confidence and courage.

Think about how you wake up on your birthday. Unless some kind of "Sixteen Candles" situation happens to you, chances are you feel all around happy. If you began each day like it was your birthday, you'd radiate confidence and joy.

Maybe you dislike Mondays because of all the work coming up in the week. Or maybe you're anxious about something happening that week. Sometimes you have to take a step back and ask yourself this question, because the day will come eventually and you might as well go into it without fear. It's easier said than done, but reminding yourself of these mantras will help combat the fear.

Mondays give us the chance to start something new. It's amazing what can happen in one week. Sometimes we just have to trust in the magic of beginnings and believe that things will work out.

A daily routine motto. Your week is golden if you strive to live by this.

A reminder to have good thoughts when starting your Monday; you will emanate loveliness.

Sometimes all you need is a simple reminder to start off your day.

This isn't necessarily a Monday mantra, but it is something we should remind ourselves everyday. Always look for the good in others, and let them know. Making someone else feel good often brings a smile to both of you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
