Let's note this is an opinionated article based on experience and current events.
On November 8th, I will be voting for Hilary Clinton. I will not be placing a protest vote. With the amount of people in this nation who are voting, a protest vote is not what we need. We need people to either vote for Hilary or Trump, not in the middle. Although both candidates are not ideal and appealing to people, we have to make a choice for either or.
The reason why I want to vote for Hilary and not Trump is pretty clear to me. Although Hilary has been having a bad reputation with the email scandal, blamed for Benghazi, and accused of going back on her word with certain policies (ex. freed trade), she's still the person I will be voting for. I am 24 and I want the future to be ideal for myself when I'm married and have children in my 30s. I don't want to raise my child or be married in a society where segregation is more visible to the public eye, my daughter will be harassed because she's a female, and my mother will be abused with racial slurs when she's a US citizen. Observing Trump's behavior and how his supporters are, I know I wouldn't feel safe in society. Yes, I should feel safe with the government as well but let's be honest that will always be a work in progress. I see hope and a future with Hilary. There will be rough patches and downfalls but I am confident she will find a way to come back up from it. She's been involved in politics for more than 30 years and has the resume to make me feel confident. And yes, as much as I would've loved to vote for Bernie that is not an option anymore. People will probably write his name in, but remember the more votes you take away from Hilary you are giving to Trump.
In conclusion, I'm with her. And come on, her poise at the first presidential campaign how could you not want to vote for her. Along with the shimmy, she will forever be known for the shimmy.
