My Chemical Romance Fans Know All the Feelings

In the wake of Announcement-gate 2k16, MCR fans are full of feelings.

My Chemical Romance Fans Know All the Feelings

By now, you've probably heard of the ominous video released on the official My Chemical Romance Twitter page. There's a new logo, a release date, and the sudden deletion of the break up tweet. So what does it mean? Well as of June 21st, the official word is that the band is not reforming, and there will be no tour. Supposedly the teaser video is referring to a celebration of the anniversary of The Black Parade, but can this official statement be trusted? No matter what you believe about the validity of the My Chemical Romance comeback, the drama has definitely reminded you how much you love the band. We haven't been this excited about MCR since the eighth grade. So here are some of the times MCR has had us on the edge of our seats since way back in 2001.

1. The Frank and Gerard kiss in "I'm Not Okay"

Who saw this coming? It wasn't me.

2. The "Black Parade" music video

This video was a cinematic masterpiece. It told a story that managed to engage you and break your heart all in a handful of minutes.

3. "Life on the Murder Scene"

Who does't want an adorable behind-the-scenes look at the life of their favorite band?

4. The "I Don't Love You" music video

This video is weird. It's a little creepy. But somehow, you just end up getting it.

5. Gerard's tour of his childhood home

This is cute. Considering that two members of the band grew up in the same house, it never hurts to see what produced greatness.

6. "All I Want for Christmas is You"

Any time your favorite band does Christmas music, it's sure to be a good time.

7. "Every Snowflake is Different (just like you)"

This is an emo rock band on a children's television show singing about snowflakes. How did this even happen?

8. The facial expressions from the "Helena" music video

I'm not sure how Gerard Way can do these things with his face, but how can you not like it?

9. "Demolition Lovers"

If this song doesn't rip your heart out and stomp it into the ground, you didn't have a heart to begin with.

10. The Breakup

March 22, 2013, a day that will live in infamy in the hearts of fans everywhere. I'm not even going to pretend that I didn't cry.

11. September 23, 2016

Whether this is a reformation or not, it has caused quite the stir. We're just going to have to wait to see what happens and how truthful the official statements have been.
