So, we've almost made it. The elections feel like the are just around the corner and the nominees are almost set. As Hillary and Bernie continue to battle for democratic support, the Republicans seem to have their nominee -- Donald Trump.
When he announced his campaign in June of 2015, Trump seemed like just a business man who would be run over by all the skilled, experienced politicians, but here with are with him as the last man standing. As if having an inexperienced, potential president wasn't enough of a turmoil, now he is seeming to tear the Republican party apart.
Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, has announced that he isn't prepared to support Trump if he is the Republican Nominee. Which, again, note that he is the only republican candidate running as of now.
Recently, Sarah Palin, former Vice President candidate and endorser of Trump, has said that she willing to "work to oust Paul Ryan." A lot of Republicans are nervous having Trump as their nominee considering how controversial he has been. They are afraid that he is giving and will continue to give the Republican party a bad name. Several conservatives are even trying to fight to get him out of the nomination.
It's safe to say that this election will go down in history since the primary has already brought lots of controversy.
It's looking as though the election will be between Clinton and Trump. Most people refer to their choice as the lesser of two evils. I, however, disagree. I think Clinton is more than qualified to be the future president of the United States.
Clinton seems to be level headed, experienced and compromising. All qualities which her opponent is lacking in.
So, if it was not clear already, I think we have a great race on our hands and it will be interesting to say the least to see how it all turns out.
