To The Man Of My Dreams

First, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for treating me like a true princess, thank you for showing me the world, and making me happy again. When everyone else was looking at my smile you fell in love with my scars. I had been run through the ringer before I met you. My heart was far from open to love and you didn't care that I was broken, you loved my anyways.

Women, nowadays, are told to lower their standards because "those kinds of guys don't exist anymore." Never in my life did I think that I would find a strong Christian man like you. Nothing makes me happier than when I come home to see you with your Bible open and listening to K-Love.

I know that you do not know this but I have never been as comfortable as I am around you. I smile, laugh, and goof around with you like we are kids. We sing at the top of lungs not caring what we sound like and dance around the house no matter how we look.

You are the kindest and most caring person I have ever met! You love with a passion that I have never come across before. I want my little sister to find a man like you and I want my little brother to be like you. The compassion that you show towards my family makes me excited for us to have our own family one day.

I love traveling and showing you all the things in this world that bring nothing but pure joy to my heart. You support me no matter what my dreams or the crazy things I want to pursue! I love you more than the stars love the moon and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you!

And despite her sometimes harsh words, April truly cares about the people she's closest to. These are all reasons she is the epitome of a college student. College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
