Being a woman in this society is so difficult. There is body shaming everywhere you look, comments fill a screen, and the air surrounding you. There is always a desire to get the most likes you have ever gotten on your Instagram post, and it's like your heart sinks if you don't get as many as you expected. There are so many unreal expectations placed on women in this society and that causes so many girls and women to not love themselves, it forces us to wonder what if we looked differently, would others like me more? This society is destroying the self-esteem of so many teenage and twenty some women, so here I am to tell you what happens when you finally let go of worrying what everyone else thinks about you, and learning how to love yourself for who God made you.

"You're too thin," "You're too fat," "You're really going to wear that, it's too tight on you," "Why do you wear so much makeup?" "You're ugly."

Just some of the comments that so many women hear too often. There is never a perfect size, shape, number on the scale, the amount of makeup, nice enough clothes. To society, there is always a chance to be better, but the unfortunate reality of that is, there is never going to be a perfect body because societies opinion on perfection is constantly changing. First, you wanted to be skinny, then you wanted to be thick because that's what all the guys wanted and now it's all about the perfect contour. Now don't get me wrong, I love a woman who can rock a contour like she's a professional and look like a rockstar but there is not a need to constantly wear makeup if you do not want to. In society, we believe that we have to be what everyone else wants us to be, but that is where we run into problems.

So, be yourself. There is no other better form of yourself than the one God created you to be. You can never be better than what God wanted you to be. Of course, we want to be what someone wants, but there is no reason to change who you are to satisfy a man who may not be the one for you. There is no perfect body, being thin is not a sin, being big boned is not a crime, wearing "too" much makeup is your own choice, and being yourself is the only way you're going to ever love yourself.

In order to learn to love yourself, there are things you can do every day that will constantly remind you that you are more than enough to be loved by not only yourself but a man or woman that will make your life complete. You must remind yourself to love yourself so here are some things to do every day to remind yourself why you are so amazing.

So tomorrow morning, wake up early, drink a big glass of cold water, look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself 5 things you love about yourself and if you can't find anything, look deeper. Once you have done that, make yourself your favorite breakfast whether that's scrambled eggs or just a bowl of cereal, sit down and enjoy it. Stay off of social media until noon just because. Go for a walk, think positive thoughts the whole time, come home take a nice long shower, use good smelling shampoo and conditioner, listen to your favorite song on repeat, and love yourself. Tell those around you that you love them, have a snack, eat some ice cream, enjoy your day, you don't even need to talk to anyone today, just allow yourself time to think positive thoughts about yourself. Do this a couple times a week, remind yourself that likes on social media aren't everything.

You are beautifully and perfectly made and there is no reason you shouldn't love yourself. You are more than worthy of self-love so make sure to save some love for yourself, don't give it all away. Now go enjoy yourself because you are awesome and deserve so much love.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
