You Can Love Yourself And Still Make Changes

It's the simplest way to put it.

You Can Love Yourself And Still Make Changes

Yes, the title says it all actually. I feel like we are always in a constant state of contradiction: wanting to love ourselves but also wanting so much change. But change and love are positive words, so why not be able to do both?

And yes, I do know that I talk about self-love so much, but love is truly the most relatable thing. The coolest actually.

Loving yourself is always wanting to better yourself and make changes that will benefit you. Just because you need change doesn't automatically mean that you can’t radiate love for yourself and I honestly can’t stress that enough.

I also remember a while back, I stated something along the lines of “you need to love yourself before you can love someone else”. Boy, I was wrong!!! I guess this is what I mean by visible change and thoughts that you have as you grow.

You can be taught to love yourself. You can take that as a romantic thing or a very friendly thing, it works both ways and applies both ways. I always laugh looking back (in a good way), I love my change of thoughts, they come through experience and I often feel like if you read these articles and keep up, that you're kinda keeping up with a vague journal actually. Not the full scoop but enough to keep you here and learning!

I love watching people start to love themselves, grow, and realize their self-worth. Humans are so neat like that. Change comes from experience, all positive and negative ones can open you up and change your perspective, I sound like a broken record but it’s the truth, its been beat into my brain.

It doesn't matter whether the change is small or big, it will make the greatest differences.

Anyway, now that I have bantered all over the place, self-love does not have to be anything gradual, it can be instant. It is when you decide, it’s when you chose to feel it. SO it can literally be now - you should be loving yourself! Self-love is a lifestyle: eat healthily, treat yourself (sometimes), go all out with your outfits, take care of yourself, ANYTHING that promotes your happiness.

Thank you for reading my "thought-vomit", and like always, I hope that it provided something of essence for you. If you can take anything away is that I’m giving you love so you should take it and transform it into self-love.

Peace n love.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
