Sleeping is one of the best things ever, it is a gift. Everyone needs to sleep, it is a necessity in life and it is something we can not deal without. Sleep is great because it refuels our bodies and energizes us for the next day. If you get the right amount of sleep it can be good for your body. It is like charging your phone daily, it is better for it to be on 100% than to be on 10%. Without sleep, we would not be able to function in our lives.
Sleeping at times can be taken for granted and it is a time where we can escape the world we live in and go into another vague, exciting one. For sure I have had many weird dreams in my lifetime. Dreams of being chased by an unknown thing or of winning a big game or other things. I have even had real life like scary dreams of being bitten by a snake or being chased by a lion. Sleep can also make you feel better. When you are sick, sleeping can certainly help out sometimes. I know for me that it does, especially some nights I have had to pull an all-nighter to do homework. I did not feel good at all and the next day I slept for a long time the next day.
For people who have sleep disorders, that is really a hard thing to overcome and deal with. I can not imagine how I would feel if I could not go to sleep for a long time or had trouble trying to every night. Some rare nights I have struggled trying to go to sleep and overall it is an unpleasant feeling. From tossing and turning on your bed to try and go to sleep to not being able too. That is for me one of the worst feelings in the world. One of the best feelings is sleeping in your comfortable bed with the sheets over your body while a movie plays in the background.
I am not a morning person at all, so obviously, I love to sleep and hate having to wake up. A funny fact is that I go to sleep in the same position, for the most part, every night. I love to sleep on the side and with my arm under the pillow and the other on top. It is the most comfortable to me. I hate waking up to half closed eyes, crust under my eye sockets, and that drowsy feeling. Getting me to wake up is pretty hard and I can sleep through almost anything. If someone was making a lot of noise, I most likely will not hear anything. Some people have told me I even mumble in my sleep. They tell me that they can not understand a single word I am saying for the most part. Sometimes I can not even remotely remember what I dreamed about. I hate yawning and having to stretch as soon as I wake up, to afterwards splashing water on my face. Everybody is different, but I know for sure I am not a morning person. I love to sleep because it puts me in a good mood, makes me more energetic and makes me feel good.
Sleep helps us go into another world, but it also can help you forget about your worries or troubles. It puts you in a better mood. The fact is that if I am feeling down, I will go right to sleep sometimes to forget and help myself feel better. It makes my problems go away. This is not a 100% good thing to do, but it helps. Whether you hate it or not we all need sleep and without it, I don't know what I would do.
