I Love My Body, I Love Posting Bikini Pics, IDGAF If You Don’t

If it's OK for an Instagram model to do it, why can't I?

Ah yes, it's officially summer, which means beach pics are what Instagram and Snapchat will consist of until we all go back to school.

Every time I post one, naturally, I get unfollowed, and it's a mix of guys and girls. At first, I used to get so offended that people would unfollow me. Other girls gained followers from doing it, so why was I losing them? Was I not pretty or skinny enough?

Then, it hit me. IDGAF.

My body is loved by me, and I shouldn't care who does or doesn't like it. My Instagram is mine, it does not belong to that uptight campus Queen B or a semi-cute frat boy, it's just mine.

If I want to post bikini picture after bikini picture, I'm going to. Are you unfollowing me because my booty offends you? Sucks!

Are you unfollowing me because your girlfriend feels uncomfortable with you following me? Find a new, more confident girlfriend!

Since when did other peoples' opinions matter so much?

I always worried about the likes I was getting or lack of. Social media shouldn't be allowed to make me feel sad about myself, it should be boosting my self-esteem. This summer, I've realized that my life is not supposed to be ruled by the opinions of others.

Sure, I can ask for opinions on a prospective post, but ultimately if I like it I'll post it.

I'm going to post whatever I want this summer and the rest of my life ahead of me. I feel great about myself and I want to show it off as much as the next girl does. Don't discredit me because I'm not as "perfect" as she is. Girls are so quick to judge each other for what they post on social media and it's something I'm even guilty of. Why can't we just think "YAS, girl, work it" instead of "Ew cover yourself up" or "another bikini picture, is she thirsty for likes much?"

My goal is to be as confident as I know I am capable of being.

I'm not posting for attention, I'm posting because I want to. I feel great, I look great, and I can show it off if I want to.

If someone wants to unfollow me so be it, I could care less anymore. I look good and I feel good and your likes don't matter to me anymore.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
