If you do not know Lucas Wentworth, I would suggest you check him out. Lucas is this little small marsupial of a man. He has a bushy beard and big heart. Lucas is a charmer, an X-files fanatic, Big Foot believer, and UFO hunter. Most importantly though, Lucas is my boyfriend, my person, and my best friend. There are so many great things to love about Lucas.
1. Lucas is a small marsupial.
Lucas is a small man-child full of love and cuddles.
2. He is full of surprises.
Lucas has a variety of interests ranging from conspiracy theories and aliens to plants to English literature. He will keep you on your toes and will continually blow your mind with his knowledge in a wide range of areas.
3. Lucas knows what you want when you don't even know what you want.
For my birthday Lucas bought me an amazing present. His only hint to me was that there were only 1,000 made; 250 in yellow, 250 in pink, and 500 in white. He had to order it from Europe and it is something I need but something that I didn't know existed. He bought me Acid Rap the album by Chance the Rapper on vinyl. He knew how much I would love that, even when I didn't even know it was a real thing that existed.
4. Lucas enjoys trying new things.
Whether it's traveling to Hawaii, exploring new waterfalls, or trying a new restaurant, Lucas is always up for an adventure.
5. Lucas is a friend to the animals.
Lucas loves cats. He absolutely adores cats. Through his love for cats, he has helped me to create a club, Help Meow-t, which cares for the feral cats on our college campus. Here is a picture of Lucas and his cat Butterball.
6. He knows that it's the little things that count.
He brings me sandwiches when I'm too busy to go to dinner. He buys my favorite truffles when I'm having a bad day. He remembers my favorite flower, ice cream flavor, and will not eat any chocolate chip cookies until I've picked out the best ones. He drives 4 hours just to get me Krispy Kreme donuts. He truly understands that the little things in life mean the most.
7. Lucas will do anything to make you smile.
One time before Lucas and I were dating we took with a group of my friends to go shopping at Wegmans, an amazing food store near our campus. He bought 24 boxes of Mac and Cheese because he thought it would make me laugh. A year and a half later, he's still eating Mac and Cheese
Another time, he stole my picture off of the bulletin board for my apace group on campus. He would randomly send me snapchats of himself holding my picture. Yes, at first this was a little creepy, but it made me laugh a lot.
11. He genuinely respects and cares about people.
My favorite thing about Lucas is watching him interact with other people. I fell in love with the way he treats his mother, tips the waitress, and respects other people. I had heard that you can tell how a man will treat you by the way he treats his mother, based on that alone, I know I found a good one.
12. Lucas is never a sore loser.
We have started to play cards almost every night. We've played Rummy over 100 times in our relationship and Lucas has won probably a total of 10 games, but that doesn't matter to him because he just enjoys playing with me.
14. He's in touch with his feminine side.
Lucas does not conform to your definition of masculinity. He sometimes wears my clothes and we can both agree that David Duchovny is an extremely attractive man.
15. He supports you in everything you do.
Between all of the things I'm involved with on campus, my career goals, and my dreams, no matter what project I'm working on now, I know that I can count of Lucas to be my biggest fan.
