Have you ever had a boyfriend who was the best person for you?

Have you ever had someone who influenced your life in only a positive way? What about someone who you could always count on no matter what was the situation was?

Well, I do have that.

Boyfriends can be a major hassle, stressor, time consumer, and a bit of an annoyance, but for the most part, they are just there to make things better and to love you. Everyone has things they absolutely hate about their boyfriend, but I am not one to focus on the negatives.

I love many things about my boyfriend, but here are a few that I am willing to share:

1. He's kind in his own way.

Yeah, he's kind of a major brat sometimes, but when you take a step back and look at the whole picture, he's actually a major sweetheart. He's always willing to lend a helping hand where he can, and despite the fact that he has a pretty hard exterior, he has a kind heart.

2. He treats me like a queen.

The way he treats me is awe inspiring. He holds doors open for me, gives me medicine when I'm sick, rubs my back when it aches, cuddles me when I'm tired of being alone, holds me when I cry, helped me move out when the time had come, plays video games for me while I'm doing homework, holds my hand in public, and so much more.

3. He's good at comforting me when I'm sad.

"Hey, babe. You okay?"

"No... I'm so sad. I miss my family, friends, and my mom's cat."

"I know you do, and I'm sorry, but I love you and things are going to get better. We'll see them soon. Do you need me to come over?"

"Yes, please..."

"Be over in 10."

4. He tolerates my friends.

I have to admit it... Some of my friends are hella annoying, strange, a little bit mentally unstable, and kinda crazy sometimes, but he takes them with stride and is always polite no matter who is around. He is so good about being chivalrous and respectful of everyone around him, even my most annoying friends, and I love that.

5. He is always honest with me.

What good is a relationship if you can't be honest with each other? I never, not once, have had a doubt in my mind about his honesty. The moment we started talking, we were brutally honest about who we are as people, and within our first three conversations, he knew pretty much everything about me, and I, him.

6. I don't ever have to doubt his word.

I know he's going to do what he says he's going to do. I never have to wonder if he's going to follow through with our plans. It's nice to have someone who doesn't disappoint you and who genuinely cares about you, and wants to spend time with you.

7. He is a goofball.

No one wants someone boring. He is an A1 goof and I love it. He's so funny and has such a humor-based personality. Sometimes I get a bit embarrassed with some of the stuff he does, but for the majority, I love the goofy, funny, embarrassing human he is, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

8. He makes me smile when I am down in the dumps.

I am honestly such a happy person, but there are days for me where the world is ending and I'm the reason for everything awful happening in life, and on those days, he is so good about making me feel better. He reassures me that things will get better and as soon as he walks through my door, my smile is vividly evident.

There's just something about that boy that plasters a smile right across my face. He literally doesn't have to do anything, it's just there.

9. He isn't what I'm used to.

I'm pretty accustomed to douchebags and guys who think that they can play games. He isn't like that. He's genuine, honest, loyal, and makes it clear that I'm the only one who has his attention. I'm not used to being treated well, so when I finally started being shown the love I deserved, I was weary. He is so unorthodox to me, but I love every second of it.

10. He's quirky, funny, smart, and all of the other good things.

This boy is the perfect balance of all of the good things a guy can be as a boyfriend. He's equally as funny, clumsy, caring, smart, cute, awkward, compassionate, etc. He is also a health provider, a protector, a counselor, and my best friend.

11. He is always there for me.

Regardless of any situation, he'll be there.

I need him to kill a spider? Boom, he's there.

I need him for comfort from a nightmare or a bad day? He's there.

I need him to come over just so I can see him? He's on the way.

12. He makes me feel beautiful.

This one is important, but not as important as some of the others. Like any girl, I love to feel loved and beautiful. He makes me feel beautiful every day, and never stops giving me reasons to love myself. My favorite thing is when he stares at me silently, and when I ask why, he says "because you're beautiful and I like looking at you." #HeartMelting

13. He accepts me for who I am.

He is so accepting of everything I do. He loves me for who I am and what I do for him. He thinks I'm beautiful the way I am, he doesn't want to change anything about me, he accepts my bratty personality, and he understands what I've been through. He doesn't care about what I've done or what has happened, he just accepts it for what it is and who it has turned me into.

14. His eyes.

Good Lord. I have never looked at eyes that blue. They're so crystal clear, and they're my favorite color. His eyes are the thing I love most about his appearance because of how genuine they are.

15. His smile makes me smile.

His smile is almost infectious. You can't help but to smile when he does because, well, have you seen it?!?!

16. He makes me feel safe.

Nothing compares to the feeling I get when he hugs me or cuddles me. When he wraps his arms around me and holds me, I feel like nothing bad can happen to me. Everything stops for a second and I realize how extremely protected I feel in this moment. Nothing compares to that feeling.

17. He's not afraid to sing dumb songs with me in the car.

We jam to girly artists like One Direction, Katy Perry, Vanessa Hudgens, and Taylor Swift. We also jam to old songs like The Piña Colada song, Careless Whisper, September, Africa, and a lot more. Although most of our music is centered around rap or hip-hop, we still like to scream-sing to some of the oldies or even some of the girly songs.

18. He is always himself, regardless of who he's around.

He literally does not change based on who he's around, and that's so hard to find nowadays. Now, everyone has different personalities that change based on who they hang out with, but not with him. He always stays true to who he is regardless of who is in the picture.

19. His brattiness.

Yeah, he's a brat... but he's my brat, so it's okay.

20. The love he has for his family.

The amount of love and respect this boy has for his family is unbelievable. He was raised so well, and you can tell by the love he constantly shows his mom, dad, sister, and mum. They all adore him so much and he gives that adorning affection right back.

People always say to date a boy who loves his momma and his sister because those are the ones who will love and treat you right, and let me tell you... it's true. Do it.

These are just a few things I love about my boyfriend. He constantly surprises me with things, and it amazes me how much he grows every day. He is such a great man, friend, brother, son, grandson, and boyfriend. I could not be more blessed to have him not only as my boyfriend, but as my best friend.
