Because neither of them are fit to run a country.

Loathe Vs. Fear: Clinton Vs. Trump

A statement 99 percent of people can agree on is: This upcoming U.S. Presidential Election is an absolute sh*t show.

The most recent debate between former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and business man Donald Trump happened Monday September 26th — Ninety minutes of uninterrupted debate between a loose canon, and a liar. The debate itself was supposed to be divided into three different parts, each with a different theme. Each theme was supposed to take thirty minutes each (because mind you, this was supposed to be organized. You know, timed.)

The first topic which was achieving prosperity. Donald Trump discussed his plans to keep American businesses in the country, which in turn would help our economy and provide more jobs for American citizens. Hilary Clinton talked about increasing the taxes on the one percent in order to give back to the other 99 percent.

Then the debate went downhill. Really fast.

After Hilary talked about increasing taxes on the rich it brought up a soft spot for Trump, which is that he hasn't released his tax information to the public like every presidential candidate has before him.

Being attacked, Trump decided to go on offense rather than defending his choices. Trump quickly turned the tables back on Clinton by bringing up the 30,000+ emails she had deleted.

This led to both of them arguing with one another, trying to balance defending their wrong doings, while trying to push the others candidates issues. They talked over each other and kept cutting each off, which extended a debate over one subject an extra fifteen minutes, causing them to take up half of the whole debate time for one single topic.

I went into this debate as an independent, not liking either candidate.

Everyone will try to explain that we must vote for the lesser of two evils, and ask me which one, gun to my head, I'd rather have as a president.

Gun to my head? Shoot me.

I see Trump as a loose canon. We need a president to be level headed, especially with this rise in shootings, police brutality, and terrorist attacks. We need someone who will be able to remain calm long enough to weigh all options before immediately throwing this country into a war.

If Trump were to become president I would live in fear over the control he has combined with his lack of thinking things through honestly scares me.

However, Hilary Clinton is the most corrupt politician I've ever paid attention to. She's been in politics for 30 years, and yet she wants to chalk her email scandal up to a mistake? I'm sorry, but if you've been in politics that long, you can't make mistakes like that.

That's like going to someone whose been a baker for 30 years, and when you ask them to make you a cake, they get an egg shell in it. A baker wouldn't make that stupid of a mistake because they've been baking long enough and know better than to be so careless that they would accidentally leave a shell in. It doesn't happen.

I loathe Hilary Clinton.

I hate how fake she is. I hate that she can't just swallow her pride and completely own up to the things she has done. I hate how much she reeks of desperation. I hate that she is willing to exploit the misfortune of others to make herself seem like she sympathetic to them.

To feel like my vote counts, I'm forced to vote for someone I loathe or someone I fear.

I choose neither.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
