One thing that I’ve always truly believed is that every single person on this planet has meaning. No matter who you are, every one has their one thing. The one thing they live for, the one thing that they love and that they wouldn’t give up for the world. For me, and so many others, that thing is music and there’s absolutely nothing that I want more for this world than for everyone in it to understand the feeling I get when I am singing at the top of my lungs in a sea of people who are doing the same. Oh, and to the person who stood next to me at the Beyonce concert, I apologize.
The best thing about a concert is being part of the crowd. Something I’ve always loved about music is that it never fails to bring people together. No matter what is going on in the world around me, it is always put on pause and entirely forgotten when I go to a concert. There’s no better feeling than being surrounded by a mass amount of people who feel the same way. There’s something so spiritual about the vibes that are set at each different concert and the different environment that each brings.
Singing at the top of my lungs and dancing like I'm absolutely insane is something that I feel like I tend to do on a daily basis, but put my favorite artist in front of me and my level will go from 0 to 100 REAL quick. It’s the best THING EVER!!! Don't even get me started about when my favorite song comes on. There’s always been something so captivating about live music. I listen to music pretty much 24/7 but it doesn’t even begin to compare to hearing that same music live. So when the song I’ve listened to 45,000 times in my room, alone, starts playing, 10/10 times I cry.
To me, it's such a breathe of fresh air to watch some radiate with happiness while doing what they love. It’s encouraging in a way, and it makes me feel that maybe one day, in a perfect world, that could be me.
