Live Life Without Limits

Time is limited, don't live life with limits too.

Live Life Without Limits
Susan Dintino

It seems as though you never get ahead. Even when you think and feel like you are getting ahead in your life, something comes barreling at you full speed. It seems as though it is the way of life that your work is never done. You never get enough time on this earth to finish what you would want to do on this earth. Even if you lived to be over 90, I am sure you could still have a list of things that you wish you could or would have done. It seems as though the world offers so many things with so little time to complete them. All we can do is make the best of the time that we are given.

I want to remind you that you don’t always get to live a long and happy life. Sometimes very suddenly your time is up. When it’s your time, you go. Even if you are 12 and living the best years of your life with even more ahead of you, you go. You can’t ever take a single second for granted. You need to spend every moment like you know it is your last. You need to spend all of your time doing things you love with people you love. I can’t stress it enough.

Even if you have been given a short time left on this earth or you have gotten bad health news, you need to live your life. Don’t let anything stop you from trying something new or doing something that you love. Just because you have a limited time doesn’t mean you should have a limited life. Even if it is as simple as running through a summer rain storm, do it. If you want to travel to a new and exotic country, do it. Don’t limit your life based on a thing like time. You need to be selfish in your life before you can be selfless.

If you aren’t living your life to the fullest, you can’t expect to be able to help others. "You can’t fill up other people’s cups if your own is empty.” You need to take care of yourself and maintain your own happiness first before you can help others. People will try to make you change your mind or tell you to be more practical about your life choices. But you need to remember whose life that it is. You need to put yourself first always. You need to keep yourself happy and then you can spread your happiness to others. Other people will do the same to you and help you maintain your own happiness.

Sometimes it seems like life is such a struggle and that you never have enough time to do half of the things that you need to do, let alone want to do. Just remember, you control your own happiness. Use your limited time on earth to do all of the things that make you happy. Whether you have a year left or 50 years left, live your life without limits.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
