A List of Things I Will Miss About My Roommates As We Move Out
M. Hanson

Dear Roomies,

I am writing this to you on the week before finals. I cannot believe that this year has flown by as fast as it did. Although I am excited about summer time, that means that we will be moving out. I don't know what I am going to do being away from you for so long. I don't know what I am going to do when I hear the song "Wonderwall" and not have you next to me to sing on the top of our lungs. I love how close we have become, and how much we have grown since moving in last summer. We have made so many new friends together, and we could have the funniest TV series about our living situation alone. There's so many things I'm going to miss about living together, but I am only going to name a few.

1. The group message

The constant, "when are you coming home?" or "what should I eat for dinner tonight?"

2. Shouting "bless you" when I hear you sneeze 2 rooms away

3. Ordering Papa Johns at least once a week.

(ily Bri)

4. Sending each other hilarious vines, and waiting for the other to cry of laughter

5. Our High School Musical dance parties

...and crying because I am still not Vanessa Hudgens

6. Sitting in the same room while sending each other constant Snapchats with the different filters.

7. Meeting each other's friends when they come up to visit

(even though we were already friends on Facebook)

8. Attending each other's sorority events

9. Looking forward to date nights after a long stressful day of class

10. How we go all out for every party we host.

I mean, who can say no to balloons?

11. Decorating each other's doors on birthdays

What I will really miss is the 2 foot posters of my face.

12. Endless hours at the library together catching up on end of the semester assignments

13. Bachelor Monday

We love you, Jojo.

14. Having 3 closets to go through when I need an outfit

15. Night drives around the city listening to country and Drake

16. Iced Coffee 24/7

17. Taking videos of me doing late night yoga

18. Coming up with our future babies' names/ setting them up to make sure that they will be as cool as we are.

19. Always having you to tell me your advice

20. The many many photos

21. Grocery shopping trips late at night to get $2.00 tortilla chips

22. Going to go get Mexican food with as many friends as we can scramble

23. Planning our weddings together, and living vicariously through the girls on, Say Yes to The Dress

24. The endless amounts of candles

25. Having my best friends live a door away from me

Even though the summer is short, I am going to miss being roommates more than anything. I am so excited to travel with you this summer, and continue our Snapchat streaks. You have changed my life for the better, and I am so grateful for you. You have taught me so much and have influenced me in so many ways. Living together was one of the best decisions I could have made. I know we will be best friends forever. And yes, you will both be in my wedding party, so write your speech now. Also, I'm expecting a dance routine to "Can I Have this Dance" from High School Musical. And yes, Kara, you can have the girl part.

Stay you, my loves.

Love always,

Madi

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
