Every year as a security question for some new program or website there's a question "Who is your favorite elementary teacher?". I really didn't have one until this year when I noticed all of the lessons I learned from that one teacher I used to help me in the really world. No it was not a math teacher or a social studies teacher. The teacher who's lessons are stilled being used in the real world is by the name of Life.

Life has taught me so much in the five years. Crazy enough those will always be the lessons I will remember for the rest of my life. Life's lessons may be different for everyone, the reason being that not everyone experience the same exact teaching with Life.

One lesson that my teacher, Life, taught me is that not every situation needs a reaction. Too many times there was a situation where people expected me to blow up and panic. The situation recently happened on job. I had someone use my phone while it was on the charger. As the time went by, I went to go check on my phones percentage except I did not see my phone. All I saw was the charger was still plugged into the wall. I only left my phone there for 30 minutes at the most. Sad thing is people will expect you to be really mad.I was in fact confused that someone will go as low as stealing a cheap, for-the-time-being phone. At the end of the day I was able to go to my phone carrier and turn that phone off and buy new phone.

Another lesson I was taught was,you have to accept what you were not expecting to happen. In my life I had every thing mapped out: all the goals I wanted to achieve, the places I wanted to visit, even the people I at least wanted to meet. Life had another set of plans though, she wanted to teach me that those things may not be seen until later in my life. I now settle and wait until my moment when I will achieve all my plans. I learned to take each and every day one step at a time.

The last lesson Life has taught me so far is your time is when it's meant to be. This almost plays into the second lesson except when your time is meant to happen it will. One point in my life I did not want to write about anything, I settle by just doing essays for schools for a grade. After noticing that in my time off I would actually write little poems here and there and a teacher needed someone to write a poem for the school's online magazine. Something to me to speak and say "I volunteer" as if I was Katniss from "The Hunger Games". After that I used my writing for the school to release the things I couldn't say and put it to use for my own leisure. Eventually all the things I wanted but cannot do right now, will come together when the time is right.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
