For anyone who doesn't know, "One Tree Hill" was by far one of the best television dramas that have ever aired. There was a rivalry between brothers from another mother, best friends stealing boyfriends, and of course the villain, Dan Scott. However, Brooke Davis is definitely one of the best characters in the show. We watch a girl who is a wild child and follows her dreams and grows up to be a very successful, confident woman who I believe is an inspiring character. These are a few life lessons that Brooke Davis taught me throughout the years.

1. Hoes over Bros.

Duh.

2. Every girl is beautiful in her own way.

"Zero is not a size" -Brooke Davis.

3. There's always time to have fun.

Because life's too short.

4. The truth hurts, but say it anyway.

Sometimes being brutally honest, she would always speak her mind.

5. Guys aren't the only ones who can play the game.

“Here’s my philosophy on dating. It’s important to have somebody that can make you laugh, somebody you can trust, somebody that, y’know, turns you on. And it’s really important that these three people don’t know each other.” - Brooke Davis. Oh. snap.

6. You should always protect your heart.

Self-respect and an unwillingness to settle is something Brooke Davis carried out throughout every season of this show.

7. But it’s okay to let love in sometimes.

Especially if it's Chad Michael Murray in the rain.

8. Confidence is sexy.

One of the best traits a girl can have is her confidence and self-reliance.

9. People can change.

Brooke Davis is a perfect example that people do grow up and change for the better in becoming who they were meant to be.

10. You’re stronger than you think.

She learns from her scars, makes mistakes, but keeps on fighting. And inspires her friends to do the same.

11. Sometimes, you have to throw the first punch.

Honestly, I don't think I will ever follow this one, but it's, at least, a reminder to always stand up for yourself.

12. Cherish your friendships because your friends are your soul mates.

This is probably one of the most important things Brooke's character does. She loves her friends and never puts them on the back burner because she knows her friends are who always pick her up when she's down.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
