Freshman year can be scary. You're in a whole new place with people you barely know, miles away from everything you do know. You go from having your own huge room with all your stuff to sharing a small space with other people. While this can be a challenge, it can also bring you some of the greatest memories and even greater friends you could think of.
So, to my "froomies,"
First off, let me apologize for so many things. I'm sorry for the times I will leave my stuff in the most random places. I am not the neatest person, but I promise I am trying, so just bear with me. I'm sorry for the times I will get so unbearably homesick. I know I will have so much fun with you guys, but sometimes I will just want to run home, so please don't take it personal. I am sorry for the times I will have random mood swings. I am sorry for the times I will get on your last nerve. I am sorry for the times you will want to strangle me. I know we won't always get along, but I hope we can always work through our differences.
I am beyond excited. I cannot wait for our many adventures like going to Uptown and going on road trips. I also can't wait for the nights we just stay in and watch Netflix. I know this year will be filled with many memories with you guys, and I honestly cannot wait.
There's also a few things you should know since we're going to be living together for the next year. Know that at times I love to blast rap music and dance, while other times I want to just sleep in silence. Know that I love Spongebob and will almost always have a reference to use in any given situation. You should also know that when I get sick, I am a complete baby, so I will need you to mother me. Also know that I am there for you. You may feel weird talking to basically a stranger about things, but I promise I will be there whether it be about a class, friends, or how homesick you are.
I love you guys. While we have only known each other for a few months, I know you are all great people and I'm so lucky to call you my roommates. I hope we only get closer as the year goes by. We have already had such great times together and I know this is only the beginning. Thank you in advance for everything you will do for me this year. I know I will be hard to handle, but I promise to try my best to make this the best year for all of us. From the late night study dates, to early morning breakfast before class, to our shopping trips, to football games, I know this year will be one for the books and I am so excited to get to spend it with y'all by my side.
Much love,
Your roomie
