When I first met you, I would have never thought we would become the people we are today. On our first date I thought you were charming, handsome and funny, but you had an easy way about you that I was drawn to. Your personality was so unlike mine (and still is), and I think that is what balances us out the most. You are so care free and giving and you are willing to try anything new, and that is what I love about you...but there is not a list long enough nor enough reasons to thank you for being a part of my life.
The funny thing is, is that you kind of just stumbled into my life. I wasn't looking for you, I just kind of found you. I mean technically you found me, but you get the point. I can't thank you enough for all that you do for me, and being willing to take on any adventure with me, even a year and a half later!
1. Thank you for always supporting me- Even if you think my ideas may be stupid, you are always there to cheer me on. You are my biggest supporter and one of my biggest fans--and I will always be yours too!
2. Thank you for putting me in my place-You know how to handle me at my worst, and only you know how to do that. You are there for not only my highs, but you are there for my lows, and at the end of the day, you still stick around. You will never know how much I appreciate you being there for me.
3. Thank you for being honest and keeping me humble- It may not always be easy for you to handle my crazy and anxious self, but you do a pretty good job at keeping me grounded. You keep my feet on the ground and you show me how to find the good in every day.
4. Thank you for being silly yet serious with me- I love when we can joke around with each other (pretty much every conversation we have), but I also love when we have serious moments too. Some of our best conversations have come from talks at two in the morning.
5. Thank you for being adventurous-I love going on crazy and spontaneous trips with you. Some of our best days have been unplanned, and we find ourselves in random places (good thing we have a GPS). You support my idea of having a summer bucket list, and you are always ready to go on a random day trip with me. I can't wait to travel the world with you--every day is an adventure.
6. Thank you for loving pizza and ice cream just as much as I do- You never turn down a trip to get ice cream, and you are always just as happy to order pizza as I am. Thanks for loving food just as much as me, and always finishing what I can't eat.
7. Thank you for letting me be independent- Sometimes it's a good thing to take some time away from each other-- though the second you leave I already miss you. However, you understand my need for being independent and doing things on my own, and you trust that I can handle myself. You allow me to grow as my own person, which allows us to grow together.
8. Thank you for being patient with me- Even on my worst days, you never fail to make me smile. Even if you can't see it, just know that I smirked behind your back just so I wouldn't give you the satisfaction of so easily pulling me out of my bad mood (in a way that only you seem to know how to do).
9. Thank you for allowing me into your life, and being a part of my family's life- There is nothing I love more than seeing you getting along with my brother, or talking with my parents. They think you are a great guy and it is so evident why. I have loved getting to know your family, and I feel so welcomed in your home. It is truly a great feeling when a new level of comfortability is added to your life.
10. Thank you for being you--and my best friend- You balance me out in a way that so few can. At the end of the day, you are one of the very few people who I can trust and rely on for anything--and for that I can't thank you enough. You are more than just 'John' to me--you are my best friend, and my secret keeper, my dinner date, and the person who makes me smile day in and day out.
Thank you for allowing me to learn to love, and how to be loved in return. You are truly my best friend and I couldn't thank you enough for becoming such an important part of my life.
