To the homework I didn't do:
It's been a long week. A long week of staring at you and wondering if you will ever look more appealing. But of course you never did, and it may be another week before I finally get around to you.
You, my homework, should be interesting because it's what I'm learning about, right? Nope. You, my homework, should be actually helpful, right? Not always. So if you're not required, and you give no insight to the class, I just don't see much reason to spend time with you.
But homework, it's not your fault that you haven't been touched. Oh no. It's not your fault that you turned out to be boring and useless. It's not your fault that there were better things to do.
It's just not your fault that the show I've been watching on Netflix happened to get really juicy, or that supporting my little turned out to be a way better use of my time. Cleaning my room even turned out to be way better.
Two weekends have come and gone and still you are untouched. Because there was homecoming, and friends to take the perfect Insta pics with, and parties to be at, and late night adventures to be had, and sleeping in to be done.
But still homework, it's not your fault. You did nothing wrong. So I'm sorry. But not that sorry. Because I've had a good week.
