My sorority sisters, that is.

A Letter To My Sisters
Samantha Steinmetz

I know I am not an initiated member, I know I am still one of the new girls. But, there is one thing I know for sure and that's I am so glad I joined this sorority. I grew up an only child and it's so amazing to finally have sisters. It's amazing to have such a big family.

I remember recruitment and how nervous I was. I remember shaking and trying to make the absolute best first impression. I guess I did with you guys. I remember bid day and how excited I was to open that envelope. I remember how excited I was to go take pictures and talk and finally really get to know everyone.

Everyone welcomed me home with open arms.I felt like I belonged with you guys. I still feel like I belong with you guys. It's so easy to be myself around everyone. With you girls, I always have someone to talk to, study with, laugh with, and vent to. I have 27 girls rooting for me and there to support me. I have a great big. I have great mentors. I have great sisters. I have great friends. I have a great support system. I'm having the best time of my life. I love you guys. I am so thankful I joined.

I can't wait for the next 2 and a half years of adventures, laughter, study tables, mixers, and time with you guys. I am proud to be a member of such a fun, caring, loving, and loyal group of girls. I am proud to call you girls my sisters.

I can't wait to see what our futures hold together. The good times and the bad times, I am excited for everything that may come our way. No matter what I know I will have you guys supporting me while I support all of you.

Here's to a lifetime of sisterhood together!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
