Listening to "The Circle of Life" always brings back memories of falling in love with "The Lion King." This movie will always be my number one favorite movie in the history of animated films.
The music gives me chills, takes me to another place and gives me peace. It allows me to escape from the pressures of reality.
It also helps my imagination grow. The colors and animation are incredible. All of the songs are fun, memorable and catchy.
The story reminds me to chase my dreams and to listen to my heart. It also reminds me to go through life with the people who mean the most to me. It reminds me to cherish the people in my life and to never take them for granted.
The movie has some awesome biblical lessons and life lessons that I would love to teach my son or daughter one day if I ever have kids. Some of those lessons include Scar plotting to kill and eventually succeeding in killing his brother Mufasa.
It makes me think of Cain plotting and succeeding in killing his brother Abel in the Bible.
Another example of a biblical lesson in the movie is the way Jesus had to overcome Satan and defeat him. That scenario is similar to the way Simba comes back and defeats Scar and restores peace and order to the animal kingdom at the end of the film.
Much like how Jesus was trying to restore love and peace in His Father’s kingdom and that He will come again to save those who believe in Him.
When Mufasa gives Simba a lecture about how he deliberately disobeyed him by journeying into the elephant graveyard against Mufasa’s strict orders telling him not to go there. Mufasa turns it into a lesson about how being brave doesn't mean Simba or anyone in life, should go looking for trouble.
Then, he turns it around and forgives Simba of his wrongdoings and lets him know that he loves him unconditionally. Just like how God or a parent can lecture children about what they did wrong, and then forgive them with unconditional love.
The bond between Simba and Nala is unmatched and pretty much unbreakable. It reminds me to love people more and to try and understand their situations instead of judging them.
The song “Circle of Life”, also reminds me that everything happens for a reason and that God is the one in control no matter what.
People have asked me, “how can it mean that much to you? You get all that from one song?” Yeah, I get inspiration all from listening to one song.
It's more than just a film for the ages.
It’s a film filled with biblical truths, amazing music and brutally honest life lessons that are hard to grasp at times.
That's how much the movie and the music mean to me. It allows me to feel the magic behind it, to learn and to understand things easier.
To the writers of The Lion King, thank you for making this film stand out for so many people. Thank you for filling it with truthful, colorful, fun characters that we will always remember. Thank you for inspiring us, both young and old, to do the right thing and to take our rightful place in the "Circle of Life."
To Hans Zimmer, thank you for composing one of the most beloved soundtracks of all time. No other music can do what this soundtrack does with the imagination and spirit. Thank you for helping make The Lion King one of the most majestic films of all time through the music.
To Elton John, thank you for taking the time to sing the songs in the soundtrack, especially my personal favorite- "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." The power of your voice in all the songs is incredible, and I am a huge fan of your music. It'd be an honor and privilege if I ever had the chance to meet you and to thank you in person, for the way your version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight " has touched my life. It'd be an honor to sing it with you as well, although I admit I'd probably be too happily stunned to sing. I'd be even more mesmerized by it live than I am through the recording. The song has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
To Jonathan Taylor Thomas, thank you for voicing young Simba, and for helping me to remember that we are all kids at heart, especially because of this iconic film. You did awesome singing, “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King”.
To Mathew Broderick, thank you for teaching me, through playing the role of adult Simba that I can’t run away from my problems. You taught me how to face my problems head on, and I’m very grateful for that.
To Tim Rice, thank you for writing such meaningful and wonderful, not to mention fun, lyrics for this beautiful film that continues to inspire generation after generation.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to the Disney animators and creators at Disney for taking the time to come up with such a beautiful film. No one can ever do the work that you all do. The stampede is one of the best scenes in the movie. I know it took a long time to make that scene as awesome and intense as it was.
Thank you to everyone involved in writing, filming, animating, singing, for making this film a masterpiece of the ages! I will always be a Disney mega fan for life!
Sincerely,
Your Biggest Fan
