To My Best Friend, I'll Be There

Through the laughs, the tears, the anger, the drunk nights, and the long talks, I promise to never forget any of it.

To My Best Friend, I'll Be There
Katrina Burton

I don't really know where the hell I would be without you. You have completely changed my life in so many ways, and I am forever grateful. It's not even a joke at this point, how much I love you.

You make me laugh, to the point of snorting. You hype me up, even if I'm getting crazy over something silly. You calm me down, when I'm too far gone to think rationally. You support me, through the good, as well as the extremely terrible decisions that I make. You have been here when I'm curled in a ball crying over a boy, or a pet, and you've been here for the smiles when I moved up in my job, and when I was happy focusing on my self.

I know I can be shitty sometimes, whether it's because I haven't seen you lately, or because we argue over something silly, and talk to each other five minute later, but I love you. You are the strongest, bravest, funniest, most beautiful person that I've ever encountered, and I'd do absolutely anything for you. If you need me to beat up your ex, then I will. If you need me to come with you anywhere, then I will. If you need me to bring you some McDonald's at 2 am, then I will. If you need me to listen, then I will.

I'll make mistakes, and I'm sorry about that, I'll do my best. Through the laughs, the tears, the anger, the drunk nights, and the long talks, I promise to never forget any of it. You are one of the number 1 people in my life (if not number 1), and I thank you for staying, and never switching up on me. We have so many more adventures, late nights, and fights to live through together, and it's only the beginning.

I love you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
