Dear me,
Ten years seems like a long time, but it's really not. It is 2017, and the 20-year-old you is in the second semester of her junior year of college. She's stressed, nervous, anxious, and probably tired. But most of all, she's wondering if this is worth it. Graphic design was, (and hopefully still is), your dream, but at 20 you often wonder if you're doing the right thing. What happens if you're not good enough, there are so many people in this field who are better than you.
I wish I could tell you that it's going to be okay, but I'm 20, I don't know what the world is going to be like in 10 years, I don't know what you're going to be like in ten years. I can only tell you what I hope you're going to be.
First, I hope you stop buying random things online, you have enough clothes, you have enough shoes, you don't need anymore. How do you expect to provide for your future dogs if you keep buying things online?
I hope you're doing well, I hope you're happy. I hope you surround yourself with people who build you up instead of bringing you down. Remember that you are important. I hope you don't work yourself to death, remember to actually live your life along with being successful in your job. Quit hiding, just because you're shy doesn't mean that you need to hide. You want friends, but yet you won't talk to anyone, it's pretty sad and you need to stop that. I know the anxiety is bad, but stop caring what people think. Again, I know it's hard but for the love of God, try.
Try something new, every day. I don't care if it scares you, that's something you've wanted to work on forever. I hope you see your sister a lot, and your family. They love you even if they have a weird way of showing it. I hope you're passionate about something I don't care if it's work, your friends, family, artwork, or even dogs. Just find something and love it with all your heart.
I know you have your dream job and I hope it worked out. Even if you didn't get your dream job, I hope that you're happy in your job. You need to work on making yourself happy before you make everyone else happy. You are the most important person.
Most of all, I hope you live every day like you should. Remember to take more pictures of things and people you love. Finally, I hope you are happy. I hope you live every day to the fullest (no matter how cliché that sounds). I hope you never change who you are because you're pretty awesome and you need to remind yourself of that every day.
Good luck,
Your younger you
