Dear Eugenia,

Hi, you don't know me at all and to be honest I don't know you either, but lately you've been everywhere on Facebook. Apparently every one is freaking out over your weight.

I'll admit I first saw you in a video where you turned your mom "emo" and your mom turned you "preppy", it was one of those late night Youtube "down the rabbit hole" moments that I stumbled across it.

I'll be honest, I remember watching it and going "wow she's thin" and becoming mildly worried, but as I watched and saw you interact with your mom and her support for your videos, I figured whatever was going on behind the scenes was the business of you and your family.

I honestly hadn't even thought about it until I stumbled across one of those "news" videos on Facebook that talked about a petition people were making to shut down your Youtube account. I was horrified.

Now believe me, I don't want to insult you or assume I know what's going on in your life, but Youtube seems to be your happy place. As someone who suffers from "an invisible illness", I was shocked to see people trying to take away what brings you joy, and I know that if someone had done that to me, while I was learning to conquer my illness, I would have lost all of the progress I had done, and come out much worse.

So I won't lie, I stalked you a little bit and checked out more of your videos to see what they were seeing.

And I found nothing.

Not once did you try to tell your fans what to eat or how to lose weight. You've dodged every question about your weight because it's a personal issue to you and NOBODIES DAMN BUSINESS. You shouldn't have to post blood tests, that's ridiculous!

Your mom is so supportive of your Youtube channel, that I can't imagine that she's not supporting you through all of the battles you deal with daily. She's right, this is bullying and you have been so sweet not to call anyone a bully.

You respond to hate with such positivity and even apologized for offending people which you have never done. You even address the people making videos about you with such politeness, you take a lot of care not to insult the people that are hating on you.

You even reassure your fans that you're okay and you're used to hate. You shouldn't be used to hate. I'm sorry that you have had to go through all of this. You aren't a bad person nor a bad influence. You are constantly encouraging your fans to be positive and kind to others. You lead by example with your grace in dealing with people who have decided to capitalize on your health.

So Ms. Cooney, I support you! I think you're a wonderful role model and keep doing what your doing. Your health is your business and I have faith that with the support of your family, friends, and doctors you will get better from whatever your suffering. But the funny thing is? I have no idea what you're suffering from and I don't care. Because it's NOT MY BUSINESS.

Goodluck Eugenia Cooney!

Sincerely,

A Fan

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
