Dear anxious heart,
There are things that you don't know the answers to. There are things you will never know. That is okay. Your purpose in life is not to speed through not taking the time to appreciate where you are right now, in this moment, or to have all the answers, or to know the future. Your purpose is to glorify the Creator of the universe. You are here to point others to Jesus.
So stop. Stand still. Be all here, in this glorious moment. I know that there are things that are important and things that require your attention, but it is imperative that you take a breath and thank God for where you are. I know that you long for the day when you have a "real" job and you are married to someone who will always love you. Those are not the things to long for. Long for an intimate relationship with God and long to do your best right now.
Listen, there are things that are hard and things that could be fixed if you just knew the answers, but that isn't your job. Trust in the power of The Almighty. He knows everything that has happened, everything that is happening, and everything that will happen. Why then, if you love Him so and believe that He has a plan, would you ever think that you could do it better? Have faith! He has overcome the world and you are in His will.
Breathe in the satisfaction of knowing that you don't have all the answers. You get to live day by day, so don't worry about the things to come. Do everything that you can to make today something to be proud of and let everything else fall away. Because in the end, all that matters is that you get to spend eternity with the Creator. You get to live your life completely in love with the one that made you. Rejoice!
You can only control what you are doing in this moment. Have integrity, love well, be joyful, and work hard because you are created not to be worried, but to glorify the Lord. Stop living for tomorrow and for what is to come. Live in the here and now so that when tomorrow comes you can be all there.
Love always,
The girl who has been there
