As Halloween approaches, the pressure is on to think of a fun, clever, and/or original costume idea to do with a best friend or as a couple. I'm here to do the hard work for you, and offer some great ideas for friends and couples as you take on the night:
Guy/Guy
1. Woody & Buzz
Any 90's guys can appreciate this classic combination from Disney's Toy Story. Good for two friends, if one happens to be significantly smaller than the other (Woody). Also fairly easy to dress up as Woody, while Buzz will probably have to buy a costume.
2. Mario & Luigi
This legendary duo is obviously great for brothers, or twins, that want to take their family relationship to the world of Halloween. Also easy to do with a few plain T-Shirts, hats, and markers.
3. Spongebob & Patrick
Name a more iconic duo... I'll wait... My affinity for Spongebob brings this legendary pair to the list for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, both of these costumes will have to be purchased for maximum effect. However, it is definitely worth it.
4. Cop & Robber
Throw it back with a childhood friend to the simpler days of cops, robbers, and manhunt. The cop is super easy to do with some navy blue, aviators, and mustache. You also have to go with a classic striped robber here, lets not get too realistic.
Girl/Girl
1. Mean Girls
It's simple... wear pink and scowl. Most everyone should have some clothes from high school that are a little small and early-2000s looking.
2. Cheetah Girls
If we're being honest here, I really don't know who the Cheetah Girls are. I would imagine there is a certain degree of animal print involved here, though.
3. White Chicks
Wear a lot of makeup and try to look like a dude simultaneously. This is for only the dedicated Halloween duo, as it will be tough to pull off. (And you may have to speak in an annoying high pitch for people to figure it out).
4. Powerpuff Girls
If we are all honest with each other, we have all decided on which of the three sisters we would be if we were protecting Townsville in the Cartoon Network hit show. Here is your chance to fulfill the dream.
Guy/Girl
1. Superman & Wonderwoman
This is a power couple move, so make sure you can pull it off.
2. Batman & Catwoman
Everyone wants to wear a cape...
3. Ash & Pokemon
With the latest Pokemon craze coming this summer, it might be a little late for this one, but it is still a great idea. There is also a pun here as one of you can be the "catch."
4. John Smith & Pocahontas
For the historically savvy, and also pretty easy to pull off.
While none of these are particularly original, they are classic and easy to pull off, I hope this helped in your search for the perfect Halloween costume for 2016!
