If you and your partner are currently incapable of seeing each other due safety, distance or other timely reasons, rest assured that there are many fun activities to try out to keep your bond strong. Although every relationship is different, finding new ways to occupy you and your partners' virtual time together can prove to be fun and help pass the time you must spend apart.

1. Make each other playlists.

A great way to share a common interest with your partner when you cannot physically be with them is creating a playlist and sharing it with them through platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud. You can create a playlist of your current favorite songs that you can share with your partner as a momento to remind them of you when they are lonely or feeling a little down. Creating a playlist not only gives your partner a way to pass time while thinking about you, but it can serve as a method to convey some of your emotions and feelings to your partner through the art of music as well.

2. Find shows to watch together.

If you are looking to stay entertained with your partner, you can virtually watch shows or movies together simultaneously on sites like Netflix, Hulu or even Youtube. Having something that both you and your partner can experience together will give you more to talk about on a daily basis. There are many shows and movies currently available on large platforms that can spark the interests of both you and your partner, which can make for great discussions, debates and inspiration within your relationship.

3. Set up a virtual date.

If you and your partner enjoy intimate moments, you can set up a virtual date via Zoom, Facetime or Google Hangouts. With virtual video dates, you can enjoy the company of your partner as if they are in the same room as you, making it a special moment to reconnect through seeing each other again. You can plan a virtual date in which both you and your partner prepare a meal that you can sit down and eat in the company of each other which will help to virtually break the distance barrier you are both experiencing.

4. Send a surprise care package.

If you want to do something special for your partner that will help to remind them of you and your relationship, consider sending a care package. A care package will help to remind your partner that your relationship is a physical one by giving them something to remember you by until you see them again. There are many items you can include within a care package, such as, a picture of you and your partner, a piece of clothing they enjoy borrowing, a poem or love letter, their favorite snack or anything that might spark an intimate connection between you and your partner.

5. Learn a Tik Tok dance together.

If you and your partner enjoy remaining physical on a daily basis, you can attempt to learn Tik Tok dances together via video calls. Learning a dance together is a fun way to keep active while staying in touch with your partner. Having something new to master together is a great way to relieve stress, feel closer to your partner and make your relationship a little more exciting while you are separated.

If you are struggling with being separated from your partner, rest assured that there are many methods that can help to metaphorically close the gap of distance that you both are experiencing. It is important to consider your partner's comfort level when trying new things in order to maintain a positive mindset within your relationship.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
