Rupaul's Drag Race

I hope you bitches are ready!! We are now a couple episodes into the 8th season of "Rupaul's Drag Race." The first episode was the series 100th and the last queen to enter the workroom was the 100th queen of the series. Let's meet the 12 queens, the smallest cast since season 3, competing this season for the title of The Next Drag Superstar, a one year supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills Cosmetics and $100,000.

Some spoilers ahead! The queens are in no particular order.

Laila McQueen.

Laila McQueen from around the Boston area, stuck out overall from the crop of queen, maybe not for the best reasons. She seemed out of her league. The young queen served Beetlejuice realness in her entrance but quickly faded into the background of rich talent and richer personalities. She is genuinely sweet and has and has some of the best nervous faces you'll ever see, but may be outperformed by her fellow competitors.

Bob the Drag Queen.

A front runner from the start and a favorite pick of fans to be in the top three, Bob the Drag Queen, one of the three from the Big Apple this year, is hilarious, beautiful and humble. She is bringing it to you every episode, whether it is on the main stage or in interviews, or the challenges. Although, she is not everyones favorite and may be a tad overrated. I really appreciate Bob and what she brings to the show.

Cynthia Lee Fontaine.

Take a look at her cucu. Cynthia Lee Fontaine is one of the genuinely nicest queens you'll meet and is full of energy. This Puerto Rican funny lady from Austin, Texas has already given the world a new word for butt, and showed how you can kill the competition with kindness. She did roll over though and took her Texas style elsewhere.

Naysha Lopez.

The comeback kid, The beauty and Miss Continental winner, an incredibly prestigious pageant in the drag world, has shown the world her beauty and grace so far. However, she has not shown her contraction abilities which landed her in hot water with the judges. She has made drag race history in her own way. I guess you'll just have to watch and see what I mean.

Robbie Turner.

Shady, classic and Seattle. Three ways to describe Robbie Turner. Just like her friend and fellow Seattle drag sister and "Drag Race" winner Jinkx Monsoon, Turner is an acting and performing wiz, who brings a unique look to the main stage. Robbie is all about classic Hollywood glamour, shooing off her Rita Hayworth hair and Jean Harlow robe in her entrance look. Although she has had her ups and downs so far, she is a queen to watch.

Chi Chi Devayne.

The pride of Shreveport, Louisiana, Chi Chi Devayne. This dancing diva of the South has taken Drag Race by surprising with her abilities as a performer and her stories of growing up in the hood. She's has seen the worst of it and is proud to represent the hard life where she came from. She may have been a gang banger, but now she is one of the "black horses" to make the top three.

Acid Betty.

The nicest queen you'll ever meet. LOL JK. Acid Betty is not the nicest. She knows she's a b*tch. She loves being sassy. She is tough, talented, and looks like a man in a wig, She makes for amazing television. The close-up shots of her eye rolls and her reactions in interviews are always hilarious and on point. She is one tough lady to crack. Her out-there style has impressed me, but she may be too mean to be America's Next Drag Superstar.

Kim Chi.

Gorgeous! The first word I think of when I see Kim Chi. This curvy girl from Chicago has a visual style all her own. Supermodel meet anime realness. She got her drag career started two and a half years ago with the help of "Drag Race" alum Pearl. Her amazing make up skills and fashion sense have already been on display. Her battle with her weight and acceptance of self has also been talked out. She came to chop suey the competition and she is well on her way.

Dax Exclamationpoint.

The drag mother of last year's winner Violet Chachki, this Savannah queen and cosplay specialist left us early on. She is a fierce queen, but in this season of standouts and big personalities, her calm and smooth demeanor did not stand out among the crowd. She is still amazing none the less and she should be seen. Look her up.

Thorgy Thor.

One of the sweetest queens you'll ever meet, this Brooklyn standout has brought it so far. Her unique mix of humor, style, shadiness, and dreadlocks has made Thorgy Thor an early fan favorite. She may be on the hairier side, mostly her legs, but her two black eyes are giving me life. She has been my favorite queen so far.

Naomi Smalls.

Naomi is obsessed with '90s supermodels and she brings it to the runway every episode. She got her drag name by combining the names of '90s legends Biggie Smalls and Naomi Campbell. She serves major body, especially her legs, which are serious a mile long. Can this gorgeous 21-year-old prove she is more than just fashion mag material?

Derrick Barry.

It's Britney b*tch! Derrick Barry brings Britney Spears to the stage six nights a week on the Las Vegas strip. She has been doing drag and doing Britney since Halloween 2003. Her uncanny resemblance to the icon and Derrick's stage presence have given quasi-celebrity status and given her a platform for her talents. She has to prove to the judges she can do more than Britney.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
