Finding a workout plan that works with a busy schedule is difficult. The constant complaint people have is, “If I had the time to go to the gym I would, but I don't." Not everyone has the time to spend two hours in the gym on a daily basis, but everyone has 30 minutes they can spare to better themselves.
Kayla Itsines, an Australian trainer has taken the world by storm. If you have not heard of her yet, you will. The author of her personal Bikini Body Guide, she is the workout guru of this generation. Unlike many gym and diet fads, hers works and you will see results. The Bikini Body Guide is a 12-week program of circuit training three days a week, with built in cardio, rest, and stretch days.
There are two circuits containing four exercises each. You begin by setting a timer for seven minutes, and completing the first circuit as many times through as you can. When the timer is up, you move on to the next circuit and do the same. Once you have finished both, you start from the beginning. Kayla's plan is all about seeing body and strength results. By giving people four different exercises, and a timer she allows you to go at your own pace, but also try and beat your personal best every round.
Each day of circuits that Kayla has written are designated to a part of your body. In the beginning they are combined, so that you are not putting too much pressure on any one muscle group. Eventually, one day will be legs, one day will be arms, and one day will be dedicated to legs.
Along with the Bikini Body Guide, she supplies a nutritious meal plan. She begins by giving you a week's worth of food ideas, but then works to explain what you need to have in each meal and gives you options. She gives you the serving sizes of foods you need in each meal and a few items that may fall into each category.
To show each person that her guide really works she instructs you to take before, progress, and completion pictures. Kayla stresses not to watch the scale because she is working to build a better you. Along with making you more fit, she is making you stronger -- and keep in mind muscle weighs more than fat. Here are a few photos that people using her guide posted online to thank Kayla for helping them kick start, and reach their end goals.
