Kanye West For President In 2020

It's easy, vote Yeezy!

Kanye West For President In 2020

At first, I thought it was a joke when Kanye West announced at the VMAs this past September that he would run for president in 2020. However, the more I think about it, Kanye running for president may not be the worst idea. I mean, look at our current presidential candidates: Donald Trump, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Regardless of this year’s election, America is going to continue to struggle and Kanye may have what it takes to fix these issues (free Yeezys, duh).

You see, Kanye isn’t afraid to speak his mind and he’s made that very clear through his lyrics in various songs, as well as his many tweets that he later deletes after going on his infamous twitter rants. If he has an issue with someone or something don’t worry, he will take to twitter and express himself as he did so with Wiz Khalifa. So when we are feuding with another country don’t fret — Kanye will take care of things with his powerful voice of mind. Or take to social media. Either one works.

With college tuition rates at an all time high, Kanye views textbooks for college courses as being extremely costly and he thinks this as an issue that must be resolved. Many Americans have to agree with him on that one. Kanye also thinks that certain children’s apps on the iTunes app store should be free. However, it’s one thing to say that a $300 textbook is expensive but Mr. West contradicts himself as the prices for his clothing line, YEEZY Season, are outrageous. The price for a distressed white T-shirt covered in holes (similar to that of a rag) is at least $120. YEEZY Season crewneck sweaters and hoodies cost around $370 and jackets range from $1,000 to $4,000. Such reasonable prices.

Kim Kardashian would be the first lady. I know what you’re thinking, from the wise words of Kourtney Kardashian: "Literally Kim you're being so rude! Why does Kim Kardashian get to be the First Lady and not me?!"

And with Kim living in the White House, I’m sure that the rest of the Kardashian Klan will be making frequent visits to the White House as well. The real question is this: can America truly keep up with the Kardashians? E! Network will have an advantage here as they may even get the chance to launch a new hit television series titled “Kim & Kanye Take The White House.” The viewer ratings would definitely be sky high.

Finally, with Kanye serving as president of the United States, a new amendment will be made: The Right to Yeezys. Yes, that’s right, every sneaker heads dream come true (including mine) which is…FREE YEEZYS FOR EVERYONE! *Drops mic.*This may be more monumental than our rights to vote. Now, after missing the crucial online release date and having to spend up to $1,000 to buy a pair of Yeezys off of eBay, the sneakers will be free of cost and delivered to the front door of every U.S. household.

Now, imma let myself finish but… Despite the fact that this article was completely sarcastic in every which way, if Kanye were to actually run for president he would truly have my vote. I support Kanye in the long run. I mean, hey, he must be doing something right since he’s won 92 awards (21 of them being Grammys), is a sought-after producer, has his own clothing line and is a loving husband and father. He’s a talented young man who has a lot on his plate, with some wild dreams which one day may come true. #Kanye2020

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
