Amagi Brilliant Park

I wrote this way back when TNA Wrestling's future was in jeopardy, due to them not securing a TV deal and with turbulence surrounding its ownership. Much of the same speculation is happening right now with the company so I thought it'd be cool just to bring this back up again. Somehow, comparing the fictional worlds of pro-wrestling and anime is soothing.

Amagi Brilliant Park

In Amagi Brilliant Park, otherwise known as Amaburi, Seiya Kanie, a former celebrity, is brought into a fledgling amusement park to assist in regaining the former glory of this once famous place. He has three months to add 250,000 visitors to their current visitor count, which is also 250,000, or Amaburi faces closure at the hands of Amaburi Development if Kanie fails.

Kanie is brought in at the suggestion of Queen Latifa, the manager of the amusement park and queen of Maple Land, where many of Amaburi's workers once called it home, but one day, a curse was put on Latifa. Everybody from Maple Land requires animus to continue living and the curse put on the queen sees her animus slowly drain if she does not sustain it.

However, human happiness is a constant source of animus for Latifa, so the success of the park is crucial to the life of the queen. To Latifa, Kanie is the savior to the park and she hands over the managerial role to Kanie and lets him control Amaburi in his own way.

Now, let's make some changes.

TNA Wrestling

In TNA Wrestling, or TNA for short, Jeff Jarrett, a former star, is brought into a fledgling wrestling company to assist in regaining the former glory of this once famous place. He has three months to add 250,000 viewers to their current viewer count, which is also 250,000, or TNA faces closure at the hands of Destination America iif Jarrett fails his task.

Jarrett is brought in at the suggestion of Dixie Carter, the manager of the wrestling company and queen of Dixie Land, where many of TNA's workers once called it home, but one day, a curse was put on Dixie Carter. Everybody from Dixie Land requires money to continue living and the curse put on Queen Dixie sees her money slowly drain if she does not sustain it.

However, an audience is a constant source of money for Dixie Carter, so the success of the company is crucial to the life of the queen. To Dixie, Jarrett is the savior to the company and she hands over the managerial role to Jarrett and lets him control the company in his own way.

Where Amaburi and TNA begin to differ

In Amaburi, *if you haven't watched it yet,* [Kanie’s plan pulls through and by working together with the disgruntled Amaburi crew, they manage to fulfill their objective of attaining 250000 visitors. The staff at the park all grow fond of Kanie and he is seen as part of the Maple Land family. As a result of completing their objective, Amaburi Development does not shut down the park and all the workers get to stay and Latifa doesn’t die.](/spoilers) A true fairy tale ending.

In TNA, well, we don’t know what’s going to happen in the end. Disgruntled workers everywhere, nobody getting paid on time, their DA audience is slipping, and now GFW and Jarrett has stepped in to possibly alleviate the situation. I don’t know if GFW and TNA working together will bring a major influx of business to save TNA. They have three months and in September, TNA may be done for if they can’t keep it together.

But let’s not lose hope for TNA. If TNA is basically in the same situation as Amaburi, then a miracle can happen in the next 3 months. Will it happen? Will this turbulent period in TNA reach a fairy tale ending by September?

Looking at it right now, it’s not looking too good.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
