If you are nervous about the results of the election like I am, it's time to pray and trust God.

Waking up today was extremely rough for me as I'm sure it was for many other people. I'll be honest and say that I wasn't a fan of either presidential candidate and they both made me nervous for our country. The one thing that got me through all of the presidential debates and stories in the media about both candidates was prayer and my faith in God. I knew that no matter who won the election, I would wake up today feeling nauseous. As a young woman, I obviously wasn't thrilled to see Donald Trump win the election. I find him disrespectful and want to make it clear that I found his comments about women appalling and disturbing.I also think that he should have had some kind of public consequences for his remarks about women and I do think that he should have made a public apology of some sort. But even if that never happens and I really don't think it will, I trust God because when everything is crumbling around you, He doesn't.

Before the results of the election came out, I set it in my heart that I would trust that God had a plan for our country and pray for whichever candidate won the election even though, I personally didn't agree with either one of them. I understand that many people might not agree with what I'm saying, and that's okay. I'm not asking everyone to agree with me or even say that I am right. But what I am saying, is that from my position as a young woman in America, the only thing I can do in the aftermath of this election is pray. I am going to pray with all my heart that God is sovereign over our government and president. Even if I don't like Donald Trump, I'm still going to pray that God is bigger than him and the decisions he makes. I just want to encourage everyone who is scared and confused about the results of this election by saying that it's not out of God's hands.Things certainly seem scary right now, but I truly believe that prayer can move mountains so I'm going to pray for our president and our country with all of my heart because to me, that is the best thing that I can do right now. So if you get anything from this article I hope that it's this, have to hope and pray for our president and country because prayer and faith is what changes things and right now, it's what we need.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
