It's OK To Be A F*ckgirl

It's hard to go anywhere and not find a f*ckboy, so why not play them at their own game?

Maddison Boys

We all hate guys for being f*ckboys, but something as women we don’t keep in mind is that some of us are f*ckgirls. I’m always the single girl in my group, and I never keep the same guy around for much longer than a month at max. My longest relationship was five months and it wasn’t even a real relationship!

The fact is, I’m perfectly content with being a f*ckgirl.

This one is for all of you f*ckgirls. I want you to know it's perfectly OK to be one -- if guys can do it then so can we.

It’s not much different from being a f*ckboy except it is frowned upon, or at least that's what I’ve noticed. It’s almost like when I tell guys "oh I don’t want a relationship", or I say "you can talk to that girl, I’m talking to other guys" they go into shock and don’t know how to react to it at all! They think that we have an ulterior motive but the thing is we just don’t care.

It’s okay to be the f*ckgirl, especially in college.

I mean who doesn’t want to have fun with no care in the world and just be themselves. I mean finding a guy shouldn’t be number one on your list, and it’s not. Number one on your list is having fun with whomever, and whenever you want. The perks of being a f*ckgirl are that you don’t care what anyone thinks. You just are out there to have fun, and if finding a different guy to speak to every week is fun, then do it! Do as you please, and don’t stop being you just because people tell you it's wrong.

If a guy can be a f*ckboy then why can’t we be f*ckgirls?

I am the friend in my group where when I talk about guys I have to describe them in detail, they don’t have names because my friends can’t keep up with the names but they can keep up with specific details like “the British guy from lit that brought me coffee.”

I have to use things like that and it’s OK. Your friends secretly wish they could be you, and live vicariously through your extravagant life with no strings! I know that my friends have given me props before because they can barely keep up with their one boyfriend, let alone the five guys I snap, and text constantly. I am honestly waiting for the moment when I slip up and mix up their names!

I once brought a boy home, and he jokingly told my parents he would marry me one day, and my mom couldn’t contain her laughter and said, “I didn’t think she was going to get married."

I looked at her and realized that my mother had already established that I was too carefree for any guy to ever tie me down, and for me to ever be tied down, therefore, I figured why does it matter. I don’t need a man to tell me what to do, to be there for me or anything at all for that matter. That is exactly what having friends are for, and guys come and go for the most part as well.

I mean its hard to go anywhere and not find a f*ckboy so why not play them at their own game?

No matter what point you are in your life, whether it's playing the game or finding that one guy that makes you hang your hat up from it, you should still be doing whatever it is that makes you happy. It doesn’t matter if your friends judge you, or if that guy doesn’t talk to you anymore because heaven forbid, he got his feelings hurt for you doing to him what he does to all the other girls.

The thing is, you have back up plans for days, and you shouldn’t care what other people think about you. It is your life, so go and live it however you want.

It is OK to be a f*ckgirl.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
