You can't go wrong with changing yourself from being good to bad or from being bad to good. That just means that there are more lessons for you to learn from. But don't feel too discouraged with yourself. There absolutely nothing wrong with you because we are all flawed in our own way, but oddly we are the same. I am about to enter my third year of college which means I have two more years to live as young and freely as I can.
When there comes a new year, it means to make new goals or possibly the same goals that have never been achieved. And that's okay, too. It doesn't mean were failures; it just means we need to strive more. Take a look at your recent year. I mean... really look at how you were, how you acted, what you did and who you were friends with. Now that you've done that, think more to see if everything you've done is worth repeating again. If the answer is no, then this is the time to act on it now than later.
What I mean by this is that your actions will dictate how you are as a person and how you are in front of others. Not everyone can agree on the same thing or a particular way of life, but it's all about how you go about it. Consider the people you love and their opinions. It means that much because, at the end of they day, it's meant for the best. Life is too short to lose what you've had. Take up every opportunity that life throws at you. Who cares if it's an unpaid internship? It's all about an experience. Wanna study abroad? Then go do it! See the world that others want to see and leave yourself a beautiful story to share.
Explore other talents that you haven't obtained. If you can't draw then go ahead and learn anyways. Play a sport even if you're uncoordinated. Go catch Pokemon! Pick up more shifts at work; money can't buy happiness, but it can buy a few adventures or two out there. Don't be a couch potato and don't be depressed about life. And don't ever believe or think that you are alone. Here's a reminder: there is always someone out there to spend time with you even if it's just for a day because being alone can no longer be an option for you. I know that feeling all too well and it sucks... like a lot.
And last, I want you to write down something about your day every day. Even if nothing happens and look to see if there's something you need to change. A change that you can follow through to better yourself. This fall semester, I know exactly what to focus on and what to believe in. It's all about morals and values that will lead you to be a better person.
