The Women’s March Trump-Hating 'Feminism' Is Exactly WHY I’ll Never Be A Feminist

It's me again, the 18-year-old female who will never be a feminist.

The Women’s March Trump-Hating 'Feminism' Is Exactly WHY I’ll Never Be A Feminist
Macey Mullins

With the latest Women's March in our rearview mirror, I would like to reiterate why I will never be a modern-day feminist... and maybe this will make my first point a little more clear.

Wednesday afternoon, I was scrolling through Facebook and I came upon this video by The Declaration Presents, titled "Here's What Happens When You Ask Women's Marchers What They're Protesting For." The reporter in the video went around to people at the Women's March and asked them why they were protesting... here are some of their answers.

Reporter: "What brings you here today?"
A woman at the march: "Ummm... everything"

For starters... this woman didn't have even the smallest reason as to why she was participating in the Women's March. Strange, right?

Reporter: "What does your sign say?"
The woman at the march holding the sign: "It says, kill Donald Trump. And then it says, kill Mike Pence. And then it says, it's Guillotine time, b****es." She then goes on to talk about how "we" should kill the both of them because she doesn't want either of them in office. I mean who wouldn't want to support this kind of feminism?

But seriously, let's assess this... a woman at the march is saying we should kill the president and the vice president, and then continues with it's guillotine time, b****es. For those of you who don't know, a guillotine is a machine that beheads someone with blades that slide up and down vertically.

Reporter: ... "What do you think makes Trump very unqualified?"
A man at the march: "Well, he's never been president."

I find it interesting that at one point, every president had never been president.

Back to the woman holding the memorable "guillotine time" sign—

Reporter: What's your ideal political or social structure?"
Woman: "Um, Communist Utopia. But, I mean, that's, like, pretty hard to do."

Reporter: *no specific question asked*
A man at the march: "So many creative people. Tens of thousands of amazing signs. Imagine if we took that creative energy and that energy to create things, and we, like, built an ark or built a spaceship. We could probably be on Mars by now if we took this energy and put it toward something very productive."

Let's get to the point...

Feminism itself is about women standing strong in their shoes. Definitionally, feminism is the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes. Personally, I don't believe this has anything to do with hating Trump, spaceships, creativity, etc. What feminism has formed into is something that I will never be a part of, and I hope you join me in this movement.

I wish to bring back the basis of feminism, rather than coating it with a preposterous lifestyle. I refuse to be part of this head hunt to attack all Republicans and conservatives and you should too. Lastly, I will not take part in what feminism is evolving into; acquisitiveness, repulsiveness, and deranged way of thinking and acting.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
