Is United Prepared For A Champions League Season?

Before the season started, the appointment of Jose Mourinho looked like a match made in heaven for United. The Portuguese manager wanted to take on the job after Sir Alex retired, but at the time that wouldn't happen. This would be his chance to manage the team he always wanted to coach for.

A season of both high and low. 18 wins, 15 draws and 5 losses in the league.

A season that's not to forget, but to learn from the mistakes made and to do better next time.

A season that would've crumbled if not for the Europa League victory against Ajax. A season where the Reds are lucky to achieve a Champions League spot while finishing sixth place in the Premier League.

United never looked like a team that would win convincingly this season, bar the Europa League performances. It struggled at times, which reminded some of the past seasons. That said, it never gave up, which is why the season wasn't as bad as others would say it was.

Jose Mourinho didn't fail in his first season, but he didn't do wonders either. It's remarkable that fans hadn't grasped the fact that Sir Alex has retired, and luckily Mourinho seems to be the one to remind them that it's time to move on.

After the club had known that a Europa League victory would grant them a Champions League pass, it became obvious that Mourinho would only care about the tournament since it looked like more of a challenge to achieve a 4th place in the Premier League.

Highlights of the season would have to be the Europa League win, Zlatan's 28 goals in all competitions, and the EFL Cup victory against Southampton.

Let's not ignore that United's transfers were solid. Bailly had the look of a solid defender the whole season. Ibrahimović was as good as ever, when everyone said he couldn't produce in England, he shut their mouths.

Pogba, while quite a hefty fee (89 million euros) he looked the part and still has time to grow. Lastly, Mkhitaryan, last year's Bundesliga MVP, produced goals and assists, but at the end needed to produce more.

With the CL spot in place, what's not to say Mourinho won't buy the likes of Griezmann or Varane?

A CL spot means United are back among Europe's elite, and the Reds mean business. Mourinho has always had the ambition and they will put their foot on the gas to compete in this tournament.

Now the task for United has to be to compete again at the highest level, be among the likes of Barcelona, Madrid, and Bayern. It won't be easy, but if there's one manager to do this, it must be Jose Mourinho. One who bleeds red, and knows the history.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
