Senator Amy Klobuchar has hit her stride over the past month. After doing well in Iowa, and placing third in New Hampshire, her campaign has reported a $12 million haul going into Nevada. The Minnesota Senator has been a low favorite to win the nomination, but she has been steadily climbing the polls since the first two contests.
According to a poll done by Data for Progress, Klobuchar has climbed to 9% in Nevada. Up from her dismal 2-3% earlier in the year. Klobuchar's campaign has been gaining steam, and it looks like she'll be the target for the next debate. After delivering a solid performance back in the debate earlier this month, it propelled her to third place. Almost a third of undecided voters voted for Klobuchar based on her debate performance.
Since doing well in New Hampshire, Klobuchar has been hit with some negative press. The morning of the primary, she was questioned by The View's Sunny Hostin on her record as a prosecutor. Klobuchar didn't give the best answers and seemed out of her step when trying to provide reasoning for her decisions. Later in the month, she was unable to name the President of Mexico.
Will the "Klobusurge" last? we'll have to see how she does in Nevada.
